What it is

What is Simplify Jobs, and who is it for?

Simplify Jobs is a job search platform best known for Simplify Copilot, a free browser extension that autofills job applications.

Simplify started with one problem: typing the same details into every application. Copilot solves it by storing your profile once and filling it into forms on the career sites you visit. Simplify says Copilot works on more than 100,000 company career sites.

Around the extension, Simplify offers a job board with AI job matches, a job tracker that records your application history, and a resume builder. Simplify+ adds AI resume tailoring, cover letters, answers to custom questions, networking tools, and job analytics.

Simplify is especially popular with students. With Pitt CSC, it maintains public GitHub lists of internships and new grad roles. They cover software, data science, AI, quant, product management, and hardware, and are updated daily.

Simplify Copilot

How does Simplify autofill work, step by step?

Simplify Copilot is the part most people mean when they say Simplify. This is how it fills a form, based on Simplify’s own help articles.

1

Build your profile

Add contact details, education, work history, skills, links, and a default resume to your Simplify profile.

2

Install Copilot

Add the extension to Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, or Arc. It syncs with your Simplify profile.

3

Autofill the page

Open a supported application, open the Simplify panel, and press Autofill This Page to fill the fields.

4

Review and submit

Check the form, answer anything new, and submit it yourself. Copilot can add the job to your tracker.

Copilot does not write new answers on the free plan. When a form asks a unique question, you answer it once, and Copilot reuses that answer when the exact same question appears again. On unsupported pages, the extension’s Profile tab lets you copy your details by hand.

Compare

Simplify vs SoundCV: feature by feature

Both tools cut the time you spend on applications. They differ on where they work, who writes the answers, and what happens before a form is sent.

Pricing

Simplify Jobs pricing: is Simplify free?

Simplify is free for autofill, tracking, and job matches. Simplify+ is the paid tier, and its prices are listed in Simplify’s help center rather than on a pricing page.

Simplify+, 1 week$19.99
Simplify+, 1 month$39.99
Simplify+, 3 months$89.99

Simplify+ renews automatically unless you cancel. The weekly option suits a short burst, but kept for a month it costs about $80, twice the monthly price. The three-month plan works out to about $30 a month.

Pros and cons

Simplify Jobs pros and cons, fairly weighed

Simplify’s free extension is one of the most useful tools in a job search. The trade-offs show up when you want AI to write answers or apply for you.

What Simplify does well

  • Free autofill that goes farCopilot fills forms on Workday, Lever, Greenhouse, Ashby, iCIMS, and Taleo at no cost, which covers a large share of company career sites.
  • Works in most browsersChrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, and Arc are all supported, and there is an iPhone app with Copilot in Safari.
  • You press submitCopilot never sends an application for you, so every form gets a final check from you.
  • Tracking without typingSubmitted jobs can be added to your job tracker automatically, and you can add custom applications by hand.
  • Great for internshipsSimplify’s public internship and new grad lists, run with Pitt CSC, are a go-to source for students in tech.

Where Simplify falls short

  • AI writing costs extraTailored resumes, cover letters, and AI answers to application questions all need Simplify+ at $39.99 a month.
  • Not every site autofillsOn unsupported pages you fall back to copying details from the Profile tab, one field at a time.
  • Autopilot skips your reviewSimplify’s own help center says there is no step where you review an Autopilot application before it is sent.
  • Autopilot is limitedIt is in beta and open to only a subset of Simplify+ members, so you may not get it even if you pay.
  • No pricing pagePlan prices sit in a help article and the app. The /pricing address returned a 404 in September 2026.
Auto apply

Does Simplify apply for you, or only autofill?

Simplify has two tools here, and they behave very differently.

Simplify Copilot is job application autofill with one-click apply convenience. It fills the form you have open, and you submit it. Your control is complete, but you still open every application yourself.

Simplify Autopilot is an agent. You pick a job on Simplify, and it opens the company’s portal and fills the form. It can tailor your resume and write a cover letter, then it submits. Simplify states that there is no review step once you start it.

SoundCV sits between the two. It prepares filled applications for you, like an agent, but every one waits for your Submit. That suits you if you want to auto apply to jobs without handing over the final decision.

Simplify Copilot

Fills the form you have open. You review and submit it yourself.

Simplify Autopilot

Fills and submits on its own. Beta, Simplify+ only, no review step.

SoundCV Auto Apply

Fills the employer’s form, then waits for your Submit on each one.

Consent stays yours

SoundCV never ticks privacy or terms boxes on your behalf.

Simplify Jobs alternative

Why SoundCV is a strong Simplify Jobs alternative

On the free plan, Simplify fills the fields you have already answered. SoundCV answers the questions for you, then asks for your approval. These are the differences you will notice first.

Every question answered, not just the repeats

Auto Apply reads each employer’s form and answers screening questions from your resume and setup, such as work authorization, notice period, and salary. Questions only you can answer, like “Why this company?”, are marked for you.

Answers fill waiting applications too

When you answer a new question in review, SoundCV remembers it. It fills the answer into later forms and into applications already waiting for your approval.

Automatic, but never unattended

Find new matches prepares up to 20 matched applications at once. None of them is sent until you open it, check it, and press Submit.

Credits back when a send fails

Each submitted application costs 5 credits. When the job has closed or the form needs a human step, the credits return to your balance and you get an email.

Beyond autofill

The resume and tracking tools around your applications

Autofill saves minutes per form. The resume you send and how you follow up decide whether you get interviews.

Resume score checker

Get an ATS score and a fix list, such as resume keywords the job asks for or a section a parser cannot read. Fix it before any form is filled.

AI resume builder and templates

Write or rebuild your resume with AI suggestions, then choose a template that keeps the layout readable for applicant tracking systems.

Tailored copy per job

Improve my resume makes a tailored copy for one job, and Show match details lists your match score and gaps. Your original never changes.

Career map

See 10 possible next roles linked to your resume. Each shows fit, salary range, time to get there, and the skills you still need.

Tracker that reads your email

Forward job emails with one Gmail filter or Outlook rule. Interview invites move applications to Interviewing, and rejections are marked for you.

Job search with translation

Search by keyword and location with typo correction, filter by pay, workplace, and country, and read non-English listings translated.

Begin by checking your resume score, then pick a layout from the resume templates. For jobs you apply to by hand, the cover letter builder writes a letter for that role, and the job application tracker keeps every reply in one board.

Jobright vs Simplify

Simplify Jobs vs Jobright: which fits your search?

Simplify and Jobright both pair a job feed with a browser extension, so people often weigh them against each other. Their strengths sit at opposite ends of the search.

Pick Simplify when filling forms is what slows you down. Its free Copilot covers the major applicant tracking systems, and its tracker logs submissions for you.

Pick Jobright when finding the right jobs is what slows you down. It adds match scores, an H1B sponsorship filter, and insider connections for referrals.

Both paid tiers were priced at about $39.99 a month in 2026 figures. Simplify publishes its prices in a help article, while Jobright shows them only in the app.

Who should pick which

Should you use Simplify or SoundCV?

The right choice depends on how you apply and how much writing you want done for you. These four job seekers would each lean a clear way.

Students chasing internships

Simplify’s internship lists and free autofill are a strong pair. Add SoundCV’s score checker to make sure the resume behind them is ready.

Employed and short on time

SoundCV prepares a batch of filled applications with cover letters. You review them in one sitting instead of opening each site.

Applying across many sites

If your targets use Workday, iCIMS, or Taleo, Simplify Copilot reaches forms SoundCV Auto Apply does not support.

Anyone who loses track of replies

SoundCV’s tracker reads forwarded emails, so interviews and rejections update your board without manual edits.

Switching

How to switch from Simplify to SoundCV

You can move over in about 15 minutes. Many people keep Copilot installed for sites SoundCV does not cover.

1

Upload your resume

Import the default resume from your Simplify profile. Run it through the resume score checker and fix anything marked red.

2

Set up Auto Apply

Confirm details read from your resume, then add work authorization, sponsorship, salary, and notice period once.

3

Find new matches

Prepare up to 20 matched applications, ranked on title, skills, and location. Review each and submit the ones you want.

4

Forward job emails

Add one Gmail filter or Outlook rule so employer replies update your job tracker on their own.

Autofill sends whatever resume you give it. Check your resume score free first and see which keywords and sections to fix before your next application.

Method

How we wrote this Simplify Jobs review

We are SoundCV, so we compete with Simplify. That is why we kept to facts you can check yourself.

1

We started from Simplify’s own pages

Features come from Simplify’s homepage and help center articles on Copilot, Autopilot, and Simplify+. Where Simplify gives its own figures, like the number of career sites Copilot covers, we say they are Simplify’s.

2

We used the help center for pricing

Simplify has no public pricing page, but its help center lists Simplify+ prices. We quote those as of September 2026 and note that plans renew automatically.

3

We left out what we could not verify

We could not confirm Autopilot’s weekly credit amounts or extension ratings from a primary source, so we left them out rather than guess.

FAQ

Questions about Simplify Jobs

Is Simplify Jobs legit?+

Yes. Simplify is a working job search platform with a browser extension called Simplify Copilot, a job tracker, an iPhone app, and a help center. It also maintains public internship and new-grad job lists on GitHub. As with any tool that stores your resume and profile, read its privacy policy before you sign up.

Is Simplify Jobs free?+

The core of Simplify is free: job matches, the Copilot autofill extension, and the job tracker. Simplify+ is the paid tier. It adds AI resume tailoring, AI cover letters, AI answers to application questions, networking tools, and job analytics. You can use Simplify for a whole search without paying.

What is Simplify+ and how much does it cost?+

Simplify+ is Simplify’s paid plan. Its help center lists three options as of September 2026: $19.99 for one week, $39.99 for one month, or $89.99 for three months. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel. Simplify+ members may also get access to Autopilot, which is in beta.

How does Simplify autofill work?+

You build a Simplify profile once, then install Copilot in your browser. When you open a supported application, a Simplify panel appears at the edge of the page. Press Autofill This Page and it fills contact details, education, work history, skills, links, and your resume. You then review the form and submit it yourself.

Does Simplify apply for you?+

Copilot does not. It fills the form and leaves submitting to you. Autopilot does: Simplify describes it as an agent that opens the company’s application, fills it, and submits it with no review step. Autopilot is in beta, needs Simplify+, and is available only to some members as of September 2026.

Does Simplify work on Workday and Greenhouse?+

Yes. Simplify’s help center names Workday, Lever, Greenhouse, Ashby, iCIMS, and Taleo as supported systems, plus many other career sites. When autofill is not available on a page, the extension’s Profile tab shows your saved details. You can copy and paste them into the form instead.

Is Simplify safe to use?+

With Copilot, you stay in control because nothing is submitted until you press the button yourself. Like any autofill extension, it reads and fills the application pages you open, so check its permissions before installing. With Autopilot, applications go out without your review, so keep your profile accurate first.

Simplify Jobs vs Jobright: which is better?+

Simplify is stronger on free autofill, with a free extension that works across major applicant tracking systems. Jobright is stronger on job discovery, with match scores, an H1B sponsorship filter, and insider connections. Both paid tiers were priced at about $39.99 a month in 2026 figures, so choose by where your search is slow.

What is the best Simplify Jobs alternative?+

If you want AI to answer each form and still approve every application, SoundCV Auto Apply is a good Simplify alternative. It fills the employer’s form, writes a cover letter per job, and refunds credits when a send fails. If job discovery matters most, Jobright is the other common alternative.

Is the Simplify Chrome extension worth it?+

For most job seekers applying on many career sites, yes, because the free version already fills the repetitive fields and tracks what you submit. It is worth less if you need AI cover letters or tailored resumes, since those require Simplify+. It also cannot autofill every site, so expect some copying by hand.
