About this role
If you have worked in the visa section of a U.S. Embassy or Consulate and want to bring that expertise to the private sector, this role is for you. Visa Franchise is looking for a Visa & Consular Processing Analyst to own consular expertise end to end for our clients, with a primary focus on E-2 treaty investor cases. You will be the in-house reference for how U.S. consulates work: protocols, documentation standards, appointment logistics and wait times. You will guide clients through the DS-160 and MRV steps, prepare them for their consular interview, make sure every package meets each consulate's requirements, and turn this knowledge into SOPs so it lives in the company and not in one person. This is not a legal role: Visa Franchise is not a law firm, and legal matters are handled by the independent attorney each client engages. We are a remote-first experience done right. Join our rapidly growing team of over 20+ fully remote staff who are mostly located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the same time receive exceptional opportunities for career growth working on products and features with a direct impact on the success of our companies. Required Qualifications:
1 to 3 years of experience in the consular section of a U.S. Embassy or Consulate (locally engaged staff, consular assistant, or similar)
Demonstrated experience with E-2 treaty investor visas from the consular side, in processing or adjudication support
Working knowledge of the nonimmigrant visa process from the applicant side: DS-160, MRV fee payment, appointment scheduling platforms (U.S. Travel Docs / AIS), document requirements and interview logistics
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, able to run client meetings and write client-facing instructions in both
Strong attention to detail on documentation: forms, names, dates and consistency across a case file
Client-facing communication skills: able to explain a high-stakes process clearly and keep clients calm and prepared
Highly organized, able to track dozens of cases in parallel with hard deadlines and no dropped steps
Comfortable with CRM and project management tools (HubSpot, Jira) and the Office 365 suite
Proficient in using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to support daily work and optimize workflows
Ability to follow and improve upon set processes in a fast-paced, flexible environment
Ability to work Monday to Friday within U.S. Eastern Time (ET) hours, ~9:00 to 17:30
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong ability to work and communicate with clients, prospects, attorneys and their staff
Experience at a U.S. consulate in Latin America, with familiarity across multiple posts
Additional E-2 exposure from an immigration law firm or consultancy handling E-2 caseloads
Exposure to other investor or business visa categories (E-1, L-1, O-1)
Portuguese language skills
Track record of writing SOPs, checklists or training material (Trainual or similar)
Comfort working with data: wait times, appointment availability and case throughput in spreadsheets or dashboards
:
Own the company's knowledge of U.S. consulate protocols and documentation standards, post by post, with depth on the posts that handle our E-2 volume
Act as the internal reference on consular operations, and communicate changes in consular requirements to the team
Set the standard for DS-160 and consulate-facing form accuracy, and own the final review before submission
Guide clients through DS-160 completion, MRV fee payment and the appointment booking platform
Prepare clients for the consular interview end to end, and debrief them afterwards to feed outcomes back into the knowledge base
Work with the package creation team and the filing attorney so each package and filing meets the specific consulate's requirements, flagging gaps before filing
Maintain a tracker of consular wait times and appointment availability, and optimize interview dates to shorten time to interview
Document consular processes into clear SOPs and checklists (Trainual), and keep case status updated in HubSpot and Jira
Propose and support improvements to the consular workflow
