About this role

About the Role: pawlicy.com/careers Location: Remote, US-based (any time zone in the 48 contiguous states). Full time. Travel expected at up to 30%. Every day, pet owners walk out of a vet's office having just said no to a treatment their pet needed, not because they didn't care, but because they couldn't afford it. Pawlicy Advisor exists to eliminate this problem. Pawlicy Advisor is a profitable venture-backed startup building the infrastructure that connects pet owners to the right financial protection for their pets, starting with the most trusted pet insurance marketplace in the US, distributed through thousands of veterinary practices nationwide. We help pet owners make better financial decisions for their pets. The company has delivered over 1 million unique quotes, has raised $19M+, has found product-market fit, and is now scaling. Veterinary teams are one of its largest growth channels: thousands of practices use Pawlicy Advisor 's programs nationwide to help clients find coverage. The Veterinary Affairs Manager owns how new clinics find Pawlicy Advisor in the field: conferences, webinars, and partnerships in the veterinary space. The role reports to the Chief Medical Officer/Head of Veterinary Affairs and partners closely with Veterinary Success, Marketing and Data teams. What You Own Partnerships in the veterinary space

Build and manage relationships with veterinary associations, industry partners and practice consultants who recommend Pawlicy Advisor to clinics
Decide which partnerships to grow based on results
Conferences and events

Own booth strategy, staffing, lead capture and same-week handoff to the onboarding team

What Success Looks Like First 90 days
First national conferences planned and executed
A full calendar of regional events, webinars and partnership campaigns booked for the first half of the year
Source tracking live for every channel activation
First 12 months
Veterinary Affairs channels are a consistent, measurable source of new clinics
Every partnership has clear terms, owners and reported results
A clear, data-backed recommendation on which channels to scale next year
Requirements
4+ years in veterinary industry roles: professional relations, field marketing, industry sales
Previous experience owning partnerships in the veterinary space end to end, from first conversation to results and renewal
Direct experience planning and running conference presence, with lead results you can quantify
Existing relationships across veterinary associations, practice consultants or industry partners
Comfort owning a budget and reporting results in numbers (cost per clinic, conversion by source)
Strong written and verbal communication with veterinarians, practice managers and technicians
Mandatory travel up to 30% of the time (conferences and events)
Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Strongly Preferred: credentialed veterinary technician, CVPM or practice manager background; pet insurance or veterinary software experience; CRM and BI tools (Pipedrive, Tableau, Mixpanel). How you work
Self-starter who sets the calendar, not one who waits for it
Data first mentality: Measures every event and partnership against what it returns
Builds trust with veterinary teams because you understand the work they do
Organized across many moving parts; uses digital task management and AI tools
Treats every budget dollar as an investment with clear ROI
AI and the Hiring Process We embrace AI at Pawlicy and our work still relies on what the humans bring to it. So please leave the AI out of interviews. Prep with it all you like, but in the room, we want your thinking, your questions, your judgment. These stages exist so we can get to know you and how you'd work with our team. We're hiring you, not a model and it is you we want to see. To be concrete: no AI assistants or chatbots on any device during interviews, and nobody else feeding you answers. Spell-check, autocomplete and notes you wrote yourself are all completely fine. If it turns out AI was used where we've asked you not to, it may end your candidacy. If any part of our process is a barrier because of how you read, write or communicate, email before that stage and we'll talk through the options. The skills we're assessing stay the same; what changes is the format. Asking has no bearing on how we assess you. Benefits
Competitive base salary: Range $105,000 - $125,000
Startup equity grant
Top-tier medical, dental, and vision insurance
401(k) employer contributions
Flexible vacation
Remote-first within the United States with in-person time at conferences and events
