Senior Financial Accountant

About Our Client

Our client is a fast-growing European fintech with a client base spanning banks, insurers, and financial institutions across the DACH region and beyond.

What You Will Do

• Handle end-to-end bookkeeping for the German entity
• Oversee external accounting service providers supporting international branches.
• Run day-to-day accounting functions.
• Drive ongoing improvements to accounting workflows.
• Be the go-to person for wage tax matters, liaising closely with the payroll team.
• Guarantee timely, audit-ready monthly and annual closings prepared under German GAAP (HGB).

About You

• 5+ years of accounting experience, certified accountant qualification a plus.
• Strong HGB knowledge; payroll, IFRS, ZAG experience helpful.
• Fluent German and English.
• Structured, analytical, and independent working style.
