About this role
About Mediboost
Mediboost is an Australian digital marketing agency for dental and medical clinics. We're launching an AI phone receptionist, built on Vapi, that answers calls for our clinics and books new patients straight into their practice software.
The project
We're connecting our AI receptionist to Dental4Windows (Centaur) using its existing API. The booking flow is: check free times, find or add the patient, then book, move or cancel the appointment. Our in-house team builds most of the connection with AI coding tools. We need an experienced developer to:
review our connection code and fix any weak spots before it goes live
help us fill in the software company's security forms
join the partner approval call(s) as our technical contact
test bookings end to end and get the first clinic live
What it looks like
Part-time, once-off project with a fixed price of USD 600–1,000
Shortlisted applicants get a short Loom video and a written brief, then quote a fixed price
Available during Sydney business hours (Mon–Fri) for calls and quick replies
Good work can lead to more projects (Core Practice is next) and a small monthly support retainer
Must have
3+ years of backend development in Node.js or Python
Proven experience connecting to health, booking or practice management software
Knows how to keep patient data secure (the Australian Privacy Act is a plus)
Clear written English and quick replies
Nice to have
Experience with Dental4Windows, Core Practice, Dentally, Cliniko or HotDoc
Has been through a software vendor's partner approval or security review
Has built with Vapi or another voice AI platform
How to apply (please read before you start) When you click Apply, you'll be taken to a short application form. Please complete it in one sitting. It takes about 30 minutes and has two parts:
Written questions: your price and availability, your experience, and a few short technical scenarios.
Short video answers (1–2 minutes each): recorded straight from your laptop or phone. Just talk us through your experience in your own words. No slides or editing needed.
Before you start, make sure you have:
a working camera and microphone
a quiet spot with a stable internet connection
a link to some of your past work (GitHub, portfolio or a live product)
Please answer every question. Applications with missing written or video answers won't be reviewed.
