About this role
We're Sharp Performance
Sharp Performance exists so that everyone who answers the call has someone in their corner who has walked in their shoes.
We help first responders and their spouses thrive through confidential coaching from people with similar lived experience. Our coaches have carried the badge, worn the gear, or stood beside someone who did. Through our mobile platform, we connect law enforcement, firefighters, and other frontline professionals with coaches who understand the job because they have lived it.
We're early-stage and backed by amazing investors. The team is small enough that your work shows up in the rollout, the product, and the customer's experience within weeks. If building something that matters alongside people who hold a high standard sounds better than a safe seat somewhere else, come build it with us.
The Opportunity
Sharp Performance is hiring an Events Coordinator to own the logistics behind every trade show and conference we attend, from contract to wrap-up, and to support our go-to-market team. You will report into Growth Marketing and work across Marketing, Sales, and Business Development.
Our field team's job is to book meetings and work the booth. Your job is to make sure everything around them is booked, shipped, and set up on time and on budget.
This role suits a seasoned organizer who likes owning the details end to end and wants to see their work show up on the show floor.
What You'll Do
Before each event
Register the booth and team, and manage exhibitor deadlines, forms, and badge lists
Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, tracking deposits, payment dates, and cancellation terms
Build and track a budget for each event
Order print materials, booth graphics, and giveaways, and ship everything the booth needs so it arrives on time
Build a Notion prep doc for each event with the schedule, booth setup instructions, staffing, meetings, and key contacts
Travel and hospitality
Book flights and hotels for the team
Make restaurant reservations for customer dinners and team events
After each event
Arrange return shipping and keep an inventory of booth materials
Reconcile invoices and expenses against the budget
Record costs and lessons learned to plan the next event better
Speaking engagements and GTM support
Find and book speaking engagements for our Business Development team, a group of former public safety leaders who represent Sharp in the market
Keep a shared calendar of upcoming events, deadlines, and speaking opportunities
Support go-to-market leaders with travel, scheduling, and logistics as needed
What Success Looks Like
Every event runs on time and on budget, with no missed deadlines
The field team arrives to a booth that is ready and a prep doc they can rely on
Business Development has a steady calendar of speaking slots
What We're Looking For
You have 5 to 7 years of experience in event coordination, executive assistance, or both, including trade shows or conferences. Experience with events in public safety, government, or adjacent markets is a plus.
You also bring:
Experience running several events at once with overlapping deadlines
Comfort negotiating with vendors and reading contracts
Experience building and tracking event budgets
Experience booking group travel and managing calendars for a busy team
Clear written communication, and the habit of documenting everything so others can follow it, ideally in Notion
Calm under pressure when plans change the week of an event
Why You'll Want to Be Here
You will own how Sharp shows up in the market and work closely with the people we serve. Sharp is a Series A company growing quickly, already working with 100+ public safety agencies, and backed by Andreessen Horowitz and investors behind some of the world's most successful technology companies. Your work helps improve the health, performance, and longevity of the people who run toward danger.
The package includes:
Medical, dental, and vision insurance
Flexible PTO
401(k) with company match
Access to the same performance coaches we offer our clients
