About this role

Job Description

The HPV marketing team consistently places vaccinees and all relevant stakeholders along the HPV customer journey at the center. The clear focus of this position is on gynecologists as the primary customer group and key partners for education, vaccination recommendation and vaccination. Based on well-founded market, customer and performance insights, we identify relevant touchpoints along the customer journey and develop integrated solutions that effectively support gynecological practices and adult patients. Our work combines strategic brand management, customer engagement and consistent implementation in close collaboration with field sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Communications, Market Research, Training and other internal and external partners.

In the role of Brand & Customer Manager HPV (m/f/d), you will take a central role in developing the HPV adult business in the German market, with a clear focus on gynecologists. You will analyze the customer journey of this customer group, prioritize effective touchpoints and translate relevant insights into a differentiated go-to-market model. Against the backdrop of adjusted field sales capacities, you will develop and implement a scalable, digitally supported omnichannel approach that effectively integrates personal support, remote interactions, digital channels, automated contact sequences, central marketing activities and targeted regional support. In doing so, you will give the field sales team clear direction, strengthen motivation and execution capability, and support the development of robust forecasts and business scenarios.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Strategic and operational co-responsibility for the HPV adult business with gynecologists as the clearly defined primary customer group.
  • Creation and further development of the long-term brand strategy and the L3-Next Plan, and translation of strategic priorities into concrete annual and activity plans.
  • Systematic analysis and further development of the gynecologists' customer journey, from supporting education and vaccination recommendation to initiating and completing vaccination, and translation of relevant insights into prioritized target groups, growth levers and concrete measures.
  • Development, piloting and implementation of a scalable, digitally supported go-to-market model that takes changed field sales capacities into account and intelligently integrates personal support, remote interactions, digital channels, central campaigns and regional activation.
  • Definition of segmentation, targeting, channel and support strategies for different gynecological customer groups.
  • Design, management and optimization of personalized omnichannel campaigns and modular contact sequences based on customer preferences, engagement data, next-best-action logic and relevant engagement, conversion and customer journey KPIs.
  • Development of relevant brand messages, communication concepts and content for gynecologists and other stakeholders in line with the overall HPV strategy.
  • Design, creation, coordination and approval of promotional and training materials in compliance with all medical, regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Preparation of clear agency briefings, selection and commissioning of external partners, and management of quality, timelines, budget and results.
  • Close involvement and activation of field sales through clear priorities and value propositions, practical activation formats and best-practice sharing. Consistent use of field feedback and performance data to further develop the go-to-market model and to support high-growth regions and customer segments.
  • Support for revenue, sales and financial forecasts through sound market assumptions, customer insights, vaccination dynamics and scenarios in close collaboration with Finance, Market Research and other stakeholders.
  • Support for the brand budget, including investment prioritization and impact-oriented resource allocation.
  • Close cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Communications, Market Research, Training, Finance, Global Marketing and external partners to implement priorities in a coordinated way.
  • Preparation and presentation of strategy, customer journey, go-to-market progress, business development and recommendations in relevant business reviews and stakeholder meetings.
  • Flexibility to independently take on and manage selected projects in adjacent HPV business areas, for example in adolescents or with general practitioners, in line with current business priorities.
  • Ensuring reliable, timely, compliant and high-quality execution of all activities.

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed university degree in business administration, marketing, natural sciences, health economics or a comparable field of study.
  • Several years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical marketing, brand management, customer engagement, omnichannel marketing or in a comparable commercial function; experience in the vaccine field is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of customer journeys and the ability to translate customer needs, barriers and behavior patterns into effective strategic and operational measures.
  • Experience in developing and implementing go-to-market, segmentation, targeting or channel models, ideally in a changing sales environment.
  • Solid experience in developing and orchestrating omnichannel approaches and a good understanding of the interplay between personal support, remote interactions, digital channels, marketing automation and data-driven customer engagement.
  • High sales orientation and enjoyment of close collaboration with field sales; ability to win teams over to strategic priorities, provide direction and turn motivation into concrete execution.
  • Strong analytical thinking and confidence in handling market, customer and performance data, as well as in defining and interpreting relevant KPIs.
  • Basic business understanding and experience in supporting forecasting, scenario planning, budget management or performance management.
  • Excellent ability to collaborate across functions and manage stakeholders, as well as the competence to align different perspectives into a shared, actionable direction.
  • Strategic thinking, high self-organization and execution strength, and willingness to pilot new approaches, learn from results and scale consistently.
  • High flexibility and willingness to independently take responsibility for projects in additional HPV target groups or customer segments when business priorities change.
  • Very good communication and presentation skills, creativity, customer orientation and a pragmatic hands-on approach with a high awareness of quality and compliance.
  • Confident use of digital marketing, CRM, analytics and activation tools, and experience using engagement data for personalization, performance measurement and continuous optimization of customer journeys.
  • Very good German and English skills, spoken and written.
