Your Role As an AU Tile Estimator, you are responsible for:
Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Bills of Materials (BOM).
Measure and estimate quantities for floor and wall tiling, waterproofing, screeding, and related works.
Prepare material lists for tiles, adhesives, grout, trims, and other tiling products.
Request and review supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Submit RFIs when additional project information is required.
Ensure all project requirements are included in estimates.
Prepare and compile tender pricing and supporting documentation.
Identify any discrepancies or missing information in project documents.
Present estimates to management for review and approval.
Submit tenders within required deadlines.
Maintain pricing records and estimating databases.
Communicate with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout the estimating process.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of estimating experience in the Australian or local construction, tiling, flooring, or fit-out industry
Experience preparing quantity take-offs and cost estimates for tiling projects.
Experience preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Bills of Materials (BOM).
Understanding of tile installation, waterproofing, screeding, and floor preparation works.
Ability to accurately calculate material, labour, and project costs.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience working with Australian builders or commercial contractors is an advantage.
