Director, Field AI Capabilities

Reports to: Executive Director, Intelligent Personal Engagement, US and International Markets

Position Overview:

As a leader in the healthcare industry, our company is committed to advancing premier digital, data, analytics, and artificial intelligence capabilities that improve customer engagement and business outcomes. We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director, Field AI Capabilities to define and deliver an integrated portfolio of AI-enabled capabilities for field-based employees across US and International Markets. Reporting to the Executive Director, Intelligent Personal Engagement, US and International Markets, this leader will translate field and business needs into scalable, reusable, compliant, and measurable AI products that enhance planning, insight generation, learning, and personalized customer engagement. The role will partner across business, technology, data, analytics, commercial operations, market teams, and enabling functions to establish a clear roadmap, accelerate adoption, and build sustainable internal capability and intellectual property—helping to propel our mission of saving and improving lives.

:

  • Own the Field AI Capabilities vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for US and International Markets, aligning investments and priorities to enterprise commercial objectives and market needs.

  • Serve as a strategic partner to field, commercial, and market leadership, translating business challenges and user needs into a prioritized portfolio of high-value AI use cases and measurable outcomes.

  • Lead end-to-end product management for field AI capabilities, from discovery and experience design through development, launch, lifecycle management, and value realization.

  • Build a scalable global capability model that balances common platforms, reusable components, and standards with the regulatory, operational, language, and customer-engagement needs of individual markets.

  • Partner with Technology, Data & Analytics, Commercial Operations, Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical, Privacy, Legal, and Compliance to deliver secure, reliable, and compliant AI solutions.

  • Establish product, data, and responsible AI governance, including decision rights, human oversight, model and content quality, risk controls, monitoring, issue management, and lifecycle standards.

  • Drive adoption and sustained behavior change through user-centered design, field co-creation, communications, training, support, and continuous feedback across markets.

  • Define and track portfolio KPIs, including adoption, user satisfaction, productivity, quality, cycle time, customer-engagement impact, business value, cost, and risk; communicate progress and decisions to senior stakeholders.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing, team of employees, contractors, and strategic partners, fostering accountability, innovation, inclusion, and strong product-management practices.

  • Monitor emerging AI, field enablement, and customer-engagement trends; evaluate and scale differentiated capabilities while maintaining disciplined investment, architecture, governance, and vendor management.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, data science, engineering, business, product management, or a related discipline.

  • 10+ years of experience in digital, data, analytics, AI, product management, commercial technology, or commercial operations, with demonstrated leadership supporting field-based organizations.

  • Proven ability to set strategy and lead end-to-end delivery of an AI or digital product portfolio, balancing user value, speed, quality, scalability, cost, compliance, and risk.

  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, launching, or scaling AI-enabled products, including generative AI, copilots, intelligent recommendations, automation, or decision-support capabilities.

  • Strong understanding of responsible AI, data governance, privacy, security, model and content quality, human oversight, and monitoring in a regulated environment.

  • Experience operating across US and International Markets and scaling global capabilities while accommodating local business, regulatory, language, and customer-engagement requirements.

  • Excellent executive communication, influence, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to align senior leaders and teams around clear priorities and decisions.

  • Demonstrated people leadership and talent-development capability, including effective management of employees, contractors, vendors, budgets, and strategic partnerships.

  • Strong customer orientation and experience leading change management, training, field enablement, and adoption measurement for enterprise capabilities.

  • Knowledge of Agile and product operating models, with the ability to convert complex business and technical concepts into clear roadmaps, narratives, recommendations, and action.

The salary range for this role is

$173,200.00 - $272,600.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
