The Marcy-l’Étoile site, near Lyon, is one of the largest vaccine research, development, and production sites in the world. It is also the most important R&D center for our Vaccines entity and a hub of excellence for new vaccine projects, as well as a cutting-edge biological and industrial platform, globally recognized for its expertise in vaccine bioproduction.
The site produces vaccines that protect against numerous diseases and immunize millions of patients each year: bacterial diseases (diphtheria, typhoid fever, Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib) infections, tetanus, pertussis) and viral diseases (hepatitis A, poliomyelitis, rabies). With over 100 years of experience serving public health, the site possesses expertise in pediatric combinations and serves more than 150 countries worldwide.
Reporting to the maintenance manager on shift within the Clean Utilities & Energy department, the Maintenance Technician will join one of the five teams working on a 5x8 shift pattern. Their mission will be to ensure the continuity of the site's installations by performing maintenance and troubleshooting interventions on critical equipment in the site's buildings (M&S and R&D).
Main missions:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance operations on production equipment and utility installations
- Diagnose malfunctions, carry out repairs, and implement necessary actions to minimize installation downtime
- Ensure traceability of interventions in the CMMS and complete associated documentation in compliance with GMP/BPF requirements
- Identify and propose continuous improvement actions aimed at strengthening the reliability, availability, and performance of equipment
- Evaluate, in collaboration with equipment managers, the Quality and HSE impacts of the interventions performed and contribute to the drafting of associated documents
- Participate in the management and coordination of on-call duties, while providing technical support during complex interventions
- Collaborate closely with all maintenance, production, quality, and support teams
- Guarantee the application of Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), Quality, Cost, and Deadline requirements during each intervention
- Contribute to maintaining regulatory compliance and the proper functioning of installations in a demanding pharmaceutical environment
About you
Experience and Education:
- Minimum 2-year degree (Bac +2) in Industrial Maintenance, Electrotechnics, Automation, or equivalent
- Initial experience in industrial maintenance, ideally acquired in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, chemical, or food industry
