The Office of Clinical Research (OCR) is dedicated to supporting the infrastructure for the management and administration of clinical research at The University of Chicago as well as individual research programs with the goal of improving communication, consistency, and collaboration across the Biological Sciences Division and UChicago Medicine.

To mission of the OCR is to catalyze clinical research by providing expertise, resources, infrastructure, and systems that facilitate clinical research operations and enable collaboration across the enterprise while promoting compliance and human subject protection on behalf of our diverse community of patients and volunteers.

Job Summary

The job maintains regulatory compliance programs, including the interpretation of systems to identify areas of risk and may coordinate internal audits. With a moderate level of direction, participates in compliance documentation, compliance training, and compliance committee formation.

The OnCore Calendar Analyst supports the configuration, maintenance, and quality assurance of study calendars within the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS), Oncore. The OnCore Calendar Analyst is responsible for building calendars in the OnCore CTMS, including calendar amendments, in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. The OnCore Calendar Analyst interprets clinical research protocols and related study documents to build accurate study calendars and manages vendor-performed calendar builds through quality checks and implementation of institutional standard operating procedures.

As a member of the Research Systems & Coverage Analysis Unit within the Office of Clinical Research, the OnCore Calendar Analyst works collaboratively with coverage analysts, finance teams, vendors, support staff, and other OnCore users to support clinical trial workflows. The position also supports end-user training, performs system testing and troubleshooting, and supports testing of calendar workflows in Epic.


  • Builds and configures study calendars in OnCore based on research protocols and related study documents.

  • Processes calendar amendments in accordance with established guidelines, procedures, and institutional requirements.

  • Audits vendor generated calendar builds for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with institutional requirements and SOPs.

  • Implements institutional SOPs related to OnCore calendar configuration, quality assurance, and related workflows.

  • Performs system testing and quality assurance of calendar and application functionality during upgrades and enhancements.

  • Troubleshoots and tests calendar build and subject management issues in OnCore.

  • Provides technical support to coverage analysts, finance specialists, and other OnCore users regarding calendar functionality and related workflows.

  • Provides ad hoc reporting to Research Systems & Coverage Analysis Unit leadership.

  • Assists in developing learning tools and reference materials for OnCore calendars and related functionality.

  • Coordinates department or clinic compliance with a moderate level of guidance.

  • Prepares, completes and submits all compliance documentation on a routine basis. Coordinates compliance committee meetings.

  • Performs other related work as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Work Experience:

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
