The Role: Senior Business Product Owner
The Impact
This role sits at the intersection of Commercial Strategy, Client Success, Product Management, and Business Growth. You will play a key role in driving the expansion and commercial success of the MCA business by identifying growth opportunities, shaping commercial strategies, supporting product , and strengthening strategic client relationships.
Your work will directly influence revenue growth, client retention, market expansion, strategic partnerships, service adoption, and the long-term growth strategy of the MCA business.

Commercial Strategy & Business Growth
- Support and execute commercial growth initiatives aligned with MCA business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to expand client adoption, increase revenue, and develop new service offerings.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and whitespace assessments to identify growth opportunities and emerging market needs.
- Develop business cases and commercial assessments for new products, datasets, partnerships, and service enhancements.
- Support strategic planning activities and contribute to business growth and market expansion initiatives.
Product
- Execute and partner with Product Management and Commercial teams to support go-to-market strategies and plans.
- Assist in defining value propositions, client messaging, pricing approaches, and market positioning.
- Support launches of new capabilities, datasets, and managed service offerings.
- Help align product investments with client demand and commercial priorities.
Client Engagement & Strategic Accounts
- Partner with Sales and Client Success teams to support strategic client relationships and business development opportunities.
- Participate in client workshops, solution discussions, executive reviews, and strategic account planning activities.
- Support RFPs, RFIs, due diligence requests, and client presentations.
- Act as a subject matter expert for MCA products, services, market coverage, and operational workflows.
- Gather market feedback and client insights to help inform business and product priorities.
Strategic Partnerships & Market Development
- Support evaluation and management of relationships with exchanges, depositories, custodians, data providers, and industry partners.
- Assess partnership opportunities that enhance product capabilities, coverage, and commercial growth.
- Monitor market structure developments, competitive activity, and industry trends to identify strategic opportunities.
- Contribute to initiatives involving emerging asset classes, digital assets, and evolving market infrastructure.
Business Performance & Operational Excellence
- Monitor commercial, client, and operational performance metrics to support business decision-making.
- Partner with Operations and Product teams to improve client experience, service scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Support initiatives focused on automation, workflow optimization, and service enhancement.
- Identify commercial and operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Technology, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in Commercial Strategy, Product , Business Development, Client Success, Corporate Actions, Asset Servicing, Market Data, Reference Data, or Managed Services.
- Strong understanding of:
- Corporate Actions and Asset Servicing
- Securities Reference Data
- Equities, Fixed Income, Funds, and ETF markets
- Financial Market Infrastructure
- Managed Services and Data Operations
- Experience supporting strategic accounts, commercial growth initiatives, pricing discussions, or business expansion programs.
- Proven ability to work across Commercial, Product, Technology, Operations, and Client-facing teams.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive-level engagement.
