Job Description
Lead the evolution of the Compliance program, strengthening an increasingly strategic, preventive, risk-oriented, and business-integrated approach.
The position will be responsible for transforming regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and Compliance risks into effective management mechanisms, supporting decision-making and the sustainable evolution of the business.
We expect a leader capable of combining technical depth, risk and control vision, analytical capacity, process transformation, and strong communication with executives, business areas, control functions, and local and global stakeholders.

- Compliance Program Strategy and Evolution
- Support the definition and execution of the Compliance strategy, connecting local priorities, regulatory requirements, corporate drivers, and business needs.
- Continuously evolve the Compliance model, seeking greater effectiveness, simplification, efficiency, and risk anticipation capacity.
- Translate regulatory and corporate requirements into policies, processes, controls, and practical actions for the business.
- Establish indicators and mechanisms that allow for demonstrating the effectiveness of the Compliance Program, going beyond the formal existence of policies and controls.
- Compliance Risk Management
- Lead and/or support Compliance risk assessments, identifying risks associated with customers, products, partners, third parties, processes, and new business models.
- Strengthen the risk-based approach, directing controls and resources proportionally to the identified exposure.
- Integrate information from Compliance, AML/CFT, controls, audit, and other relevant sources to produce an executive view of key risks.
- Identify trends, weaknesses, and emerging risks and propose mitigation plans.
- Control Effectiveness and Monitoring
- Evolve the Compliance monitoring and testing methodology, focusing on control effectiveness.
- Structure indicators, KRIs, dashboards, and executive reports that allow for tracking risk exposure, trends, action plans, and control effectiveness.
- Apply quality assurance and continuous improvement concepts to the department's processes.
- Follow up on action plans resulting from internal assessments, audits, monitoring, and other assurance processes.
- Transformation, Data, and Technology
- Lead initiatives for the modernization and automation of Compliance processes.
- Identify opportunities for using data, analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence to increase the preventive capacity and efficiency of the function.
- Work in partnership with Technology and other areas on the evolution of Compliance tools and solutions.
- Promote the reduction of manual activities and direct team capacity toward higher value-added analyses.
- Compliance as a Strategic Business Partner
- Act as a partner to business areas, Product, Commercial, Operations, Technology, Legal, and other relevant functions.
- Participate in the evaluation of new products, services, partners, and business models, bringing the Compliance perspective from the initial stages.
- Seek solutions that appropriately balance growth, customer experience, innovation, and risk management.
- Translate complex technical and regulatory topics into objective recommendations that support executive decisions.
- Due Diligence and Third-Party Risk Management
- Strengthen due diligence and risk assessment processes related to partners, suppliers, service providers, and other third parties.
- Ensure that Compliance, integrity, and reputational risk criteria are incorporated into decision-making and monitoring processes.
- Promote a risk-based approach and integration between the different areas involved in the third-party lifecycle.
- Governance and Executive Communication
- Prepare analyses, opinions, and reports for leadership, Committees, and other governance forums.
- Present risks objectively, supported by data and connected to business impacts.
- Support interactions with corporate and global Compliance stakeholders.
- When applicable, support interactions with regulators, audits, and other external bodies.
- Compliance Culture
- Contribute to strengthening a culture of integrity and responsible risk management.
- Evolve training and communication actions into formats increasingly targeted at risks and different audiences.
- Work with leadership to increase accountability and ownership of Compliance risks by business areas.
- Leadership and Team Development
- Lead and develop a high-performance Compliance team.
- Establish clear priorities, objectives, indicators, and tracking mechanisms.
- Develop technical capacity, critical vision, autonomy, and business orientation within the team.
- Promote collaboration between Compliance and other control functions.
Qualifications
- Solid experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Controls, Audit, and/or AML/CFT, preferably in regulated environments and highly complex organizations.
- Experience in leading or evolving Compliance programs and risk and control management models.
- Experience with risk assessments and a risk-based approach.
- Knowledge of due diligence and third-party risk management.
- Experience in evaluating new products, services, or business models from a risk and Compliance perspective.
- Experience with monitoring, control testing, quality assurance, and action plans.
- Ability to use data and indicators for management and decision-making.
- Experience or familiarity with process transformation, automation, analytics, and artificial intelligence applied to Compliance.
- Experience in interacting with senior leadership, Committees, and different stakeholders.
- Experience in people management and development.

Education
- Bachelor's degree.
- Postgraduate degree or specialization in Compliance, Risk Management, Audit, Law, Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related fields will be considered a plus.
- Professional certifications related to Compliance, risk, audit, or AML/CFT will be considered a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial institutions, payment methods, fintechs, or other highly regulated environments.
- Experience with regulators and supervisory bodies.
- Experience in multinational structures and interaction with global teams.
- In-depth knowledge of AML/CFT.
- Previous experience in Internal Audit and/or Internal Controls.
- Practical experience in implementing automation, RPA, analytics, or artificial intelligence in Compliance processes.
- Advanced English.
