In this key role, you will support the Customer Care & Experience (CCE) Governance team. The Customer Care & Experience organization at Amgen is dedicated to enhancing the digital experience of Amgen’s workforce by advancing capabilities that improve employee productivity, collaboration, and engagement.
Within CCE, the Digital Workplace Experience (DWX) team drives adoption and maximizes the business value of end-user technologies. These technologies include collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Miro, as well as workplace devices including PCs, mobile phones, tablets, and printers. The team is composed of cross-functional IS professionals who deliver services spanning operations, engineering, governance, and user enablement.
The Sr. Associate IS Business Analyst will support the CCE Workplace Governance team by managing software and services purchase order processes, coordinating PO-related activities, and serving as a Change Lead. In this capacity, the individual will document and communicate changes and releases impacting End User Computing (EUC) technologies and facilitate the weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB) process.
Success in this role requires strong collaboration skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively partner with service owners, system owners, and cross-functional stakeholders across multiple time zones.
Key :
- Software and Services Purchase Order Management:
- Manage software and license contracts with a focus on Microsoft contract management, including renewals, amendments, billing validation, and ongoing compliance with contractual terms.
- Perform billing validations and support purchase order creation and management in Ariba.
- Track POs through the full lifecycle, including change requests, extensions, renewals, and closeout activities.
- Troubleshoot PO-related issues, including incorrect invoicing, funding gaps, and billing discrepancies.
- Partner with Procurement, Legal, Finance, and IT teams to ensure POs are managed consistently and effectively.
- Change Management, CAB & Release Governance
- Facilitate the Change Advisory Board (CAB) operating cadence and maintain the CCE change and release calendar.
- Ensure changes include appropriate impact assessments, CI and service-owner validation, implementation plans, testing evidence, communication plans, and back-out plans.
- Coordinate change reviews, approvals, stakeholder communications, readiness checks, and post-implementation reviews for material releases.
- Track change-quality metrics, emergency-change trends, recurring failure points, and action closure; drive corrective actions and lessons learned.
- Improve adoption of CCE change and release standards through guidance, coaching, templates, and practical quality checks.
- CI/CMDB Health & Service Governance
- Establish and manage a recurring CI/CMDB health cadence with service owners and technology teams.
- Monitor configuration-item ownership, completeness, accuracy, relationships, lifecycle status, stale data, audit findings, deviation reports.
- Publish CI/CMDB health scorecards, prioritize remediation, and track actions to closure with accountable owners.
- Use CMDB and service data to strengthen change impact assessment, vendor accountability, and operational risk management.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
- Experience with creating purchase orders for IT software and services.
- Demonstrated proficiency in tools such as SAP, Ariba, Excel
- ITIL v3 or v4 Certified
- Hands-on experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow
- Solid background in ITIL-based service operations and enterprise IT change governance.
- Understanding of financial planning, performance management, and budgeting
- Managing processes & developing standards
- Ability to independently manage tasks with minimum supervision, prioritize effectively, and work across time zones
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with both technical and business stakeholders
- Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritizing in a logical manner.
- Strong analytical, auditing, and problem-solving skills
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of Information Systems/Finance/Change/Release Management experience
