We are looking for a motivated fourth-year student in the Middelbaar (MLO) program, specializing in Microbiology!

The CoE Micro department is an essential hub in our organization. CoE Micro is a dynamic, diverse, and expertise-driven team that provides microbiology support to various Animal Health locations worldwide. The team consists of 12 employees, all with extensive knowledge and experience in microbiology. The team works closely with other departments within the company to achieve established goals.

Your internship assignment

As an intern, you will be responsible for performing high-quality microbiological tests. In addition, you will contribute to inventory management of laboratory consumables, sample receipt, waste streams, and equipment maintenance. You will work according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) / GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) with a high standard.

**Your **

  • Performing (rapid) microbiological tests and identifications.

  • Contributing to the development and validation of new microbiological tests.

  • Assisting in laboratory maintenance (e.g., ensuring inventory management of consumables and samples, coordinating waste streams, equipment maintenance).

  • Working in accordance with GMP / GLP, EHS guidelines, and standard procedures.

  • Contributing to solving microbiological problems.

  • Offering a fresh perspective on the department by sharing your opinion.

The described tasks form the basic package and will often be performed independently after proper training and a learning period. These tasks can be supplemented with other projects and/or tasks on your own initiative or at the request of the organization.

What is required

  • Student in the fourth year of the Middelbaar (MLO) in Microbiology.

  • Familiarity with GMP / GLP and EHS guidelines.

  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch, both written and verbal.

  • Available for a period of at least 10 months for 5 days per week.
