Job Title: Oracle Finance Systems Leader

Location: London / Cambridge, UK

The job

The Oracle Systems Leader is responsible for the strategic leadership, and transformation of the Oracle ecosystem, and related integrations.  This includes effectively managing the relationship between Oracle’s strategic roadmap and Aveva’s Finance digital transformation priorities.  The role oversees the implementation of solution enhancements, and automation, ensuring delivery against defined timelines and defined value realisation.  The role ensures that Oracle solutions enable efficient, scalable, secure and compliant business operations while supporting, financial reporting, business transformation, and future growth objectives.

The role requires close partnership with Finance Global Process Ownership, IT ERP Ops, Security, Internal Control, Enterprise Architecture, and senior finance leaders to maximise the value of Oracle investments and ensure alignment with finance’s priorities.

**Key **

  • Establish and maintain effective partnership with Oracle, being at the forefront of their innovation roadmap, product developments, and releases.

  • Evaluate emerging Oracle capabilities and identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI, analytics, and reporting.

  • Develop and execute the enterprise Oracle systems strategy aligned with AVEVA's business and technology roadmap.

  • Develop Oracle solution roadmaps that maximise return on investment from Oracle technologies.

  • Own the Oracle solutions including, Financials, Procurement, Projects, Revenue Management, EPM capabilities, and associated integrated solutions.

  • Drive Oracle transformation initiatives, migrations, and strategic technology programmes, ensuring associated finance change management and adoption.

  • Drive Oracle implementation projects, ensuring delivery to agreed timelines, budget, quality, and business outcomes.

  • Establish and maintain effective governance processes for Oracle enhancements, releases, and change management.

  • Partner with Finance leadership and Process Owners to translate business requirements into scalable Oracle solutions.

  • Support IT vendor management activities across Oracle environments.

  • Ensure solution enhancement compliance with SOX controls, audit requirements, security standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to ensure aligned technology strategies.

  • Support internal and external audit activities relating to Oracle systems and associated technology controls.

Essential requirements

  • Extensive experience leading Oracle ERP and enterprise application environments within large multinational organisations.

  • Deep understanding of Oracle Fusion Cloud and Oracle EPM capabilities, and implementation methodologies.

  • Experience delivering large-scale Oracle transformation and migration programmes.

  • Strong knowledge of finance business processes and wider enterprise systems architecture.

  • Understanding of SOX, PCAOB, ITGC, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Hybrid working

We work in a hybrid way at AVEVA. Most roles are based at a local AVEVA office, with an expectation of being on-site 50% of your working hours to support collaboration and connection. Some positions are fully office-based depending on the nature of the work, and certain roles that support specific customers or markets may be remote.
