About the role
We have an opportunity for a BIM Technician to join our team in Plymouth.
In this role, you will support the delivery of coordinated digital design and project information across a range of engineering and built-environment projects. You will produce and update accurate models, drawings and associated project information in line with project requirements, digital standards and established ways of working.
Working with growing independence, you will take responsibility for defined project activities, manage your own workload and contribute to reliable project delivery through effective coordination, technical accuracy and collaboration.
You will work closely with engineers, designers and other project stakeholders, supporting the coordination of information and helping to identify and resolve routine modelling, coordination and information issues.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who already has experience in BIM modelling or digital design and is looking to continue developing their technical skills within a supportive consultancy environment.
About you
In this key and varied role, you can expect to:

Take responsibility for the quality and timely delivery of assigned work.
-
Support coordination by identifying and resolving routine clashes, inconsistencies and information issues.
-
Apply agreed modelling, information-management and document-control processes.
-
Contribute to model reviews, quality assurance and coordination meetings.
-
Work collaboratively with engineers, designers and digital specialists, communicating progress, issues and dependencies clearly.
-
Manage and prioritise your own workload to meet project deadlines and requirements.
-
Provide practical support to less-experienced colleagues and share knowledge within the team.
-
Contribute ideas to improve workflows, coordination and technical delivery.
-
Continue developing your BIM, digital modelling and information-management skills through training and knowledge sharing.
What we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

Experience in BIM modelling, digital design or a related technical role, ideally within engineering, building services, architecture or consultancy.
-
Good working knowledge of relevant modelling and information-management tools.

Experience producing accurate models, drawings and project information to agreed standards.
-
Understanding of model coordination, document control and project delivery.
-
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
-
Ability to identify and resolve routine modelling and coordination issues.
-
Able to organise and prioritise workload, meet deadlines and work with growing independence.
-
Good communication and teamwork skills, with confidence asking questions and clarifying requirements.
-
Proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving and learning new systems.
-
Willingness to support colleagues, share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement.
Experience with the following would be beneficial:
-
Revit or other relevant BIM modelling software.
-
