About the role

As an Area Maintenance Technician (all genders), you will ensure the maintenance of the Lantus active ingredient production facility at the Insulin Campus Frankfurt (FBC) and contribute to its high availability. You will work in a dedicated team of I&C (Instrumentation and Control) technicians, mechanics, as well as VT and I&C coordinators. In close coordination with operations, you will independently carry out maintenance and inspections and contribute to the reliable operation of pharmaceutical active ingredient production while adhering to all GMP and safety guidelines. **Key **

  • Execution of maintenance, inspection, and repair work on I&C facilities in active ingredient production
  • Testing, adjustment, and calibration of I&C components as well as conducting safety-relevant functional tests
  • Independent assembly, wiring, and commissioning of mechanical, , and electrical assemblies
  • Support in troubleshooting, fault rectification, and configuration of DCS and PLC systems
  • Participation in projects, plant commissioning, and qualification measures as well as maintenance of technical documentation
  • Support in material and service procurement as well as management of spare parts within the area of responsibility
  • Ensuring compliance with GMP, HSE, environmental, and safety requirements as well as participation in training and instructions

About you

  • Experience: Practical experience in the maintenance of processes with sterile technology

  • Soft skills / Technical skills:

  • Deep expertise in the field of electrical maintenance for pharmaceutical active ingredient production, preferably in the field of processes with sterile technology

  • Safety-conscious and GMP-compliant working style

  • Communication skills paired with a high degree of flexibility and resilience

  • Team spirit and commitment

  • Basic IT knowledge, especially Office applications and SAP

  • Education: Completed vocational training as a skilled worker (Industrial Electrician or Automation Technician)

  • Languages:

  • Business-fluent German skills (written and spoken)

  • English skills are an advantage

Compensation is based on the federal collective bargaining agreement of the chemical industry.

Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
