POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
On large, multi-Project Management initiatives, the Senior Health Systems Project Manager operates in a matrixed leadership capacity: directing the work, sequencing, and integration of other project managers assigned to the same initiative and holding accountability for the overall project’s performance and outcomes.
**PRIMARY JOB **
- Provide project management for the full life cycle of large-scale, enterprise-critical initiatives, which may include strategic, operational, financial, School of Medicine, or partnership portfolios
- Create structure and approach to managing complex, multi-workstream projects, including sub-projects and dependent initiatives
- Lead major projects with minimal supervision; make recommendations directly to executive and physician leaders
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and change requests
- Guide and direct the work of other project managers assigned to the same complex initiative, coordinating scope, sequencing, and integration across workstreams
- Manage multiple related projects within a program to ensure overall alignment with strategic and operational objectives
- Serve as a mentor to project managers and junior members of the EPMO team on standard processes, tools, and approaches
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in the areas of information systems, business administration, health care administration or related field
- 9+ years of demonstrated success/results in project management, including having overseen and managed multiple projects
- 4+ years in a role requiring regular interaction with senior and executive leadership (e.g., Director level and above)
- Demonstrated experience managing initiatives across at least two of the following domains: strategic planning, operations, financial/regulatory programs, School of Medicine or academic medicine, and enterprise partnerships/affiliations
- Demonstrated fluency in both traditional (waterfall) and at some exposure to agile project management methodologies, with the ability to select and apply the right approach based on project needs
- Demonstrated ability to guide and coordinate the work of other project managers on shared, complex initiatives without formal supervisory authority
- Proven ability to influence leaders, employees, and teams toward deploying a different future state, including in matrixed or dual-reporting stakeholder environments
- Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills, with a high degree of comfort presenting to large and small audiences, including senior/physician leadership
- Proven experience motivating high-performing individuals and creating an inclusive, collaborative team environment

- Proficiency with PPM tools such as Smartsheet, along with Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Experience presenting to stakeholders and/or leadership
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements
