ABOUT OUR SCHOOLS TEAM

Our "Schools" team has three sub-teams:

  1. Sales(new business sales) - They bring Albert to new school customers. They are measured by new value won.

  2. Account Management (renewal sales) - They work with school administrators to renew customer contracts, plan implementations, and plan teacher trainings. They are measured by customer retention.

  3. Adoption Management - They deliver trainings and support teachers. They are measured by teacher engagement.

These sub-teams work closely together to provide an exceptional experience for school administrators and teachers.

THE ROLE

As an Account Manager Team Lead, you will lead a pod of 2-4x Account Managers with a specific geographic focus. Your role will include directly managing your own accounts, as well as being responsible for the performance of your pod.

The work of an Account Manager includes:

● Managing contract renewals. Guide schools and districts through their annual renewal, helping them find the right licensing size and options to support their instructional goals.

● Building and expanding relationships. Gain the trust of decision makers while expanding the "network" of Albert advocates within schools and districts.

● Growing implementations over time. Pitch Albert's value across stakeholders. Since Albert supports every department and grade level, use our existing implementation and champions to expand Albert's footprint over time through trials and demos.

● Monitoring customer metrics. Help customers understand how their implementations are going and identify gaps in teacher adoption.

● Planning and develop instructional support. Work with administrators to plan teacher trainings and set up rostering, SSO, and grading integrations.

● Supporting internal product development. Bring customer feedback and instructional research to bear on the development, design, and launch of product enhancements.

As a manager, your role will also involve:

● Performance management and talent development. Run semiannual performance reviews. Coach your pod members on their calls and emails. Support direct reports with their deals and in 1:1's. Delegate manage opportunities and projects to allow others to grow. Identify and develop promising talent. Develop the next generation of pod leaders while retaining strong IC's for the long term. Increase talent density over time.

● Process management. Continuously refine processes to minimize wasted time and bottlenecks. Ensure the CRM has complete metadata, notes, and ensure smooth handoffs.

● Tooling and AI adoption. Empower the team with AI toolings, skills, plugins, and internal applications that automate tedious work, extract value out of data, and minimizes cost.

● Measure success. Continuously improve our understanding of our accounts, both quantitatively and qualitatively. Use this to help reps be more effective and grow revenue at renewal time.

What we offer

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance. We offer two medical plans, both through Cigna. The company’s contribution is set at the Base Plan: Albert covers 100% of the employee-only premium and 50% of the dependent premium for the Cigna OAP PPO Base Plan. If you elect the Buy-Up Plan, Albert contributes the same dollar amount it would have contributed toward the Base Plan and you pay the difference. Dental and vision are also through Cigna, with Albert covering 90% of the employee premium and 50% of the dependent premium.
  • Insurance concierge through Nava. Our insurance broker, Nava, will help you file claims, find doctors, and answer coverage questions.
  • Flexible Spending Account and Dependent Care FSA. Set aside pre-tax dollars for medical and dependent care costs.
  • One Medical membership. Same-day appointments, virtual care, and a real primary care relationship.
  • Paid parental leave. Twelve weeks of fully paid leave after one year of service.
  • 401(k). A fully managed plan with a 1% company match.
  • Flexible, guilt-free vacation. No fixed allotment and no approval theater. Most people take three to four weeks a year, and we mean it.
  • Half-day Fridays. Every week, year round.
  • A deep-work culture. Few meetings and long uninterrupted blocks, because the work we do rewards focus.
  • Pay that does not depend on your zip code. The same bands apply wherever you live, with raises tied to performance rather than tenure.
