Job Title: Quality Assurance Pharmacist / Batch release lead, pharmaceutical production site

  • Location: Ambarès, France (near Bordeaux)
  • 14-month fixed-term contract (CDD)

About the role:

As a Product Quality Assurance Pharmacist within the Quality department of the Sanofi Ambarès (33) production site, you will guarantee product quality and certify batches of semi-finished and finished products.

This is a shift-work position with a 2x12-hour schedule, alternating between day and night shifts every other weekend (8 PM - 8 AM / 8 AM - 8 PM). Ready to get started?

The Ambarès site, where this position is located, is part of the "New Product Launches" group of sites, which is integrated into the "General Medicines" Global Business Unit of Sanofi. The Ambarès site has the unique feature of a dual mandate: producing daily medications of major therapeutic interest for patients, while also ensuring the success of new product launches. Indeed, the site is a true launch platform for new medicines.

**Key **

Product Quality Assurance:

  • Certifies, by delegation, batches of manufactured products in accordance with GMP, group standards, and marketing authorizations
  • Processes Quality documentation for status changes and manages status changes in real-time within the ERP and LIMS
  • Is present on the shop floor to assist with the application of GMP and problem-solving, and conducts Quality Basics
  • Ensures the follow-up and closure of deviations, CAPAs, effectiveness reviews, and change controls within deadlines

System Quality Assurance:

  • Ensures that procedures applied within their scope of activity are valid, respected, and compliant with group standards
  • Participates in the delivery of GMP training

Quality Control:

  • Supervises two Quality Control technicians
  • Participates in the processing of laboratory investigations: initiates laboratory investigations in the event of anomalies and authorizes the re-launch of analytical controls based on the investigations conducted
  • Releases packaging materials and raw materials

Continuous Improvement:

  • Proposes actions to improve the performance of quality processes
  • Works with Production to ensure that performance improvement actions are compliant with GMP

About you

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar position in Quality Assurance or Production at an industrial pharmaceutical site
  • Technical skills: Expertise in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality assurance principles
  • Knowledge of investigation methodologies
  • Soft skills: Rigor, reliability, autonomy
  • Proactive, customer-service oriented
  • Ability to make decisions based on risk management principles

Education:

  • Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent, allowing registration with the CNOP for batch certification

Languages:

  • Fluent French and English

The salary range for this position is :€42 400,00 - €56 533

Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
