Use AI to assess how you fit

There is no file within Ecare as visible as the community care file. It supports the primary process of many of our clients, and therefore everyone has an opinion about it: administrators, end-users, your own team. That is exactly why this role matters.

We are looking for someone who still knows the practice firsthand — from community care itself, or from an intramural role with a sharp eye for the community — and who is ready for the next step: no longer executing, but setting the course yourself and structurally improving what has been a struggle for years.

What will you do?

You will join a team of 6 colleagues, including developers and an architect. Within your own file, you make the decisions: about content, about sequence, about the balance between what is technically solid and what needs to move forward functionally.

For the first six months, you will build a clear vision of the future: where should the community care file be in two years, and what steps will get us there? After twelve months, that will no longer be a vision on paper, but visible in the software: end-users will notice it, and the client journey will run through our system without interruptions.

You will be involved in, among other things:

  • Mapping out a concrete course for the community care file, based on a vision of where community care needs to go.

  • Connecting the community care file with the rest of PUUR., so that client information and work processes will soon work organization-wide instead of only within the community.

  • Independently making decisions about content and sequence — including the continuous trade-off between what is technically solid and what needs to move forward functionally.

  • Spending about half of your time thinking along with care organizations: hearing what is going on at their location, and determining together how the community care file can best support them in this.

  • Working closely with your colleagues within the development team, and with the people who manage similar files in other parts of PUUR.

  • Ensuring that your team and the organization can be proud of what the community care file has become.

What makes this role interesting
  • You make the transition from execution to product responsibility, without letting go of care — 25% of your time you will be with clients in practice.

  • You get real decision-making power: within your file, you decide what happens and in what order.

  • You will solve a problem in two years that community care has been carrying for years — not incrementally, but structurally.

  • You work in an organization that is at the forefront of AI adoption and has the ambition to remain the best in the market.

  • You bring your practical knowledge of community care, and learn from your team how to translate that into good software.

  • You work in a close-knit team and gradually build your own position and authority within your file.

We think you will be successful when you possess the following qualities:

  • You have demonstrable experience in community care (VVT) — as a community nurse, case manager, team leader, or in a quality function — and know better than anyone where things get stuck in practice.

  • You have a clear opinion on how care in the community should develop in the coming years, and you dare to share it.

  • You can distinguish well between what is factually correct and what is primarily a feeling or opinion — even if a colleague, client, or administrator disagrees.

  • You oversee the different interests of the care provider, organization, and client, and can switch between them calmly and with arguments without losing the overview.

  • You dare to say "no" clearly when necessary, even if it feels uncomfortable. You are not a pleaser.

  • You are mature in your dealings with others: you earn trust first, and build the relationship with your team and clients from there.

  • You are curious about how software development works. Experience with this is a plus, but not a requirement — we are happy to teach you that.

  • You communicate clearly and enjoy working closely in a small team.

  • You have a good command of the Dutch language.

What do we have to offer?

At Ecare, we value your personal growth and strive for a good work-life balance. That is why we offer:

  • A role in which you contribute directly to software that matters for daily care practice

  • Salary: € 4.000,- to € 5.500,- per month, based on 32 hours per week (pro-rata for more hours)

  • Travel allowance and a very good pension scheme

  • 5.4 weeks of vacation per year

  • A modern, refreshing office near the heart of Enschede

  • Room for new initiatives and ideas. We are always open to that, whether you have been working with us for a week or 10 years

  • A fresh sandwich lunch daily from De Broodbode

  • A super fun work atmosphere. With weekly drinks, the annual Kamp Ecare, darts matches, surprising team activities with informal, fun colleagues

  • A hybrid work environment where working remotely and at the office is alternated
