The Business Development Representative develops their territory and grows sales of our platforms dedicated to public works: asset management, citizen requests, work orders, inspections, and field operations. They build lasting relationships with municipalities and public organizations and contribute directly to the company's growth.
Job Description
- Develop and execute the sales plan for the assigned territory.
- Identify and qualify new opportunities with municipalities, RCMs, and public organizations.
- Conduct demonstrations and executive presentations for public works, engineering, IT, and general management departments.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to contract signing.
- Respond to calls for tenders, RFIs, and RFPs; prepare bids and ROI analyses.
- Represent the company at municipal industry congresses, trade shows, and events.
- Collaborate with technical, product, and deployment teams to ensure the success of sold projects.
- Keep the CRM, pipeline, and sales forecasts up to date.
- Monitor the competition and contribute to expansion strategies into new markets.
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 5 years in B2B sales or business development.
- Experience in selling SaaS software, technology solutions, or management systems.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience with the municipal, government, or public works sector: a significant asset.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of public tender processes.
- Understanding of municipal management, assets or infrastructure, and SaaS models.
- Proficiency in a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or equivalent) and Microsoft 365.
- Ability to present complex solutions in a simple and convincing manner.
- Bilingual in French and English, both oral and written.

Compensation: base salary of $80,000 to $95,000, depending on experience, plus uncapped commissions.
