For the Integrated Process Team (IPT) Specialties in Haarlem, we are looking for a Reliability Engineer.

Welcome to our team

From Haarlem, 2,500 different pharmaceutical and vaccine packages are distributed to more than 140 countries. Haarlem is known as the flexible packaging location in Europe. Our production department consists of several Integrated Process Teams (IPTs) and Centers of Excellence. The IPT Specialties is responsible for packaging tablets and filled bottles into various final packages, which is done by automated packaging lines.

The "technical" team of IPT Specialties consists of several Technicians, an Automation Engineer, and a Reliability Engineer who ensure that the 12 packaging lines in the department keep running while meeting the associated quality and safety requirements.

About the role

As a Reliability Engineer, you are responsible for the reliability of all installations and equipment under the management of the IPT Specialties. You work on structurally solving problems and improving technical performance. You write business cases for improvement projects, prepare deliverables, and guide the development and implementation of the proposed improvements on the shop floor. You are also responsible for continuously initiating improvements in the maintenance plan.

**Tasks and **

Your duties include, among others:

  • You analyze the technical performance of the IPT Specialties and ensure, through technical projects, that the packaging lines perform better and better and continue to meet current requirements regarding quality and safety.
  • You build convincing business cases to obtain the resources needed to realize (improvement) projects and do not shy away from the discussion.
  • You are familiar with standards, procedures, and guidelines as applicable within our organization and the pharmaceutical industry. You are co-responsible for qualifying and maintaining the qualified state of the entire machine park of the IPT Specialties and ensure that periodic reviews are prepared for this.
  • You are responsible for drafting and reviewing qualification documents for changes and projects.
  • You are responsible for drafting and reviewing the maintenance documentation of IPT Specialties.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics)
  • Experience within a production environment and ideally with packaging processes within a GMP environment is a major plus, but not a requirement;
  • Experience with project portfolio management, project management, change control, and equipment qualification is a plus;
  • Persuasive, stress-resistant, and capable of influencing stakeholders;
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbal and written;
  • Strong project management skills, analytical insight, and great perseverance.
