Job Description
As a Storage Administrator at Ubisoft Montreal, in the Saint-Laurent borough, you will contribute to maintaining our global file-sharing services and storage platforms dedicated to data archiving. You will work with a team of four people located in Germany, China, and France, primarily through remote collaboration across time zones. This is a full-time position.
What you will do
- Maintain the stability, availability, and performance of global file-sharing services
- Intervene during major incidents, coordinate the search for solutions, and contribute to restoring services within agreed-upon timeframes
- Process user requests regarding shared storage spaces, quotas, access rights, data migrations, and service issues
- Monitor the health and capacity of services and maintain storage infrastructure and hardware
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and improvement of storage solutions
- Develop and maintain automation for recurring operational tasks and standardized processes
Qualifications
- Leverage your hands-on experience in storage operations to support production environments, troubleshoot issues, and maintain service reliability
- Collaborate with teams located in different time zones while organizing your work effectively
- Automate tasks with Python, Ansible, Git, PowerShell, shell scripts, and Terraform
- Administer enterprise and cloud storage solutions, have knowledge of Ceph, and ideally, possess hands-on experience with Isilon or Qumulo
- Configure and maintain Windows Server, including Distributed File System (DFS), as well as Rocky Linux
- Use your knowledge of networking, virtualization, Active Directory, SMB and NFS protocols, backup, and archiving
- Monitor services with Prometheus and Grafana and have knowledge of Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) storage services
- Transform user needs and operational constraints into practical storage solutions, clearly explain technical issues, and work with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams
