Job Description
**General Description – Functions and **
The Senior Accountant is responsible for:
-
Managing the accounting for their assigned business sector (general accounting and/or fixed assets, payroll accounting, bank accounting), in accordance with US accounting rules and current procedures, as well as French accounting, social, and tax regulations for the entire legal entity.

Analyzing results, providing commentary, and validating them before closing the books, and ensuring total compliance of supervised operations.

Preparing accounting analyses, reports, reporting, or surveys as required, and resolving any accounting issues in direct liaison with the Group (US, Regional), the local FP&A organization (budgetary control), or the Business Service Centers (BSC).

Preparing statutory accounts and tax returns.
Main Activities:
FR GAAP and statutory requirements:
-
Ensuring the preparation and monitoring of statutory reporting for their sector and performing corresponding analyses and validations in accordance with French accounting, social, and tax rules.

Ensuring the completeness of accounting entries for total compliance.

Analyzing transactions specific to their sector and making necessary adjustments within required deadlines.

Finalizing accounting results for their sector and ensuring consistency and reconciliation between US and French standards. Determining the accounting and tax results of the entities and validating the tax result with the Tax Coordinator:

Preparing statutory accounts under French standards and preparing tax returns within the allotted timeframes.

Communicating regularly with various stakeholders and anticipating any event that could have a significant impact on the accounts.

Formulating responses to questions from various stakeholders (internal and external auditors, US and Regional HQ, Administration) and providing any requested justification and analysis.

Coordinating various ad-hoc requests: CSE requests, CSR reporting, etc.
US GAAP and related requirements:

Providing back-up for US reporting.

Analyzing, investigating, and resolving any accounting questions requested by the BSC, the Group Finance organization, or FP&A, and implementing necessary corresponding actions.

Preparing various periodic re-invoicing and coordinating the validation of received re-invoicing.

Monitoring the status of assets under construction, coordinating the capitalization process with project managers, and the tagging process.

Providing support on STS topics, particularly in relation to PPR analysis.
Required Skills and Experience:
-
Higher education (Bachelor's degree in Accounting) + at least two years of experience in an equivalent role.

In-depth knowledge of US accounting rules (US GAAP) and French rules (PCG), as well as reporting.

Very good knowledge of the Group's divisions and internal organization is desired.

English read, written, and spoken, at a level sufficient to actively participate in teleconferences.

Good level of autonomy in research and ability to work in a team.

Rigor, consistency, analytical mind, and proactivity.

Good organizational skills, particularly to meet deadlines inherent to the role.

Good written and oral communication.

Respect for the confidentiality of files.
