Together we invest for a better future. We do it to make a difference to the lives of our clients and customers, our employees, society, and our shareholders. Our business is structured around three distinct areas focused on our clients' changing needs: Aberdeen Investments, Aberdeen Adviser, and interactive investor.

As a Risk & Compliance Coordinator, you will play an important role in helping our Risk & Compliance function operate effectively, supporting the governance and decision-making processes that help Aberdeen deliver better outcomes for clients.

About the Department

Risk & Compliance plays a critical role in supporting Aberdeen’s long-term success by helping the business make informed decisions, manage risk effectively and maintain strong governance standards. The culture is collaborative, supportive and focused on continuous improvement.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and ambitious coordinator or administrator looking to develop their career within a high-profile corporate function. Working within the Risk & Compliance team, you will provide operational, governance and administrative support, with a particular focus on supporting the Risk & Compliance Leadership Team. You will act as a central point of coordination across multiple stakeholders, helping to ensure key governance activities, reporting requirements and day-to-day operations are delivered efficiently and consistently. Alongside gaining exposure to senior leaders across the business, you will benefit from opportunities to build new skills, including the use of AI-enabled tools, while developing towards more advanced executive support and coordination over time. Based in Edinburgh, this permanent position offers the chance to invest in your tomorrow through meaningful experience, professional development and valuable networking opportunities.

  • Support purchase order administration, planning activities and budget-related processes as required.

  • Handle sensitive information with discretion while supporting internal communications and stakeholder engagement activities across the function.

About the Candidate

We're looking for someone who is proactive, highly organised and eager to learn. You may already have experience in an administrative, coordinator, team support or executive support environment and be ready to take the next step in your career.

  • Previous experience in an administration, coordination or business support role.

An inclusive way of working

Whatever way you like to work, if you have the talent and commitment to join our team, we’d like to hear from you.

At Aberdeen we’ve adopted a ‘blended working’ approach. This approach combines the benefits of face-to-face collaboration, coaching and connecting in our offices with the flexibility of working from home. It enables colleagues to find a balance that works for their roles, their teams, our clients and our business.

An inclusive culture, where diverse perspectives drive our actions, is at the core of who we are and what we do. If you need assistance with your application, or a reasonable adjustment to your interview arrangements – for example, because you are neurodivergent, or have a physical, sensory, cognitive, mental, visible or invisible disability – please let us know and we’ll be happy to help.

We’re committed to providing an inclusive workplace where all forms of difference are valued and which is free from any form of unfair or unlawful treatment.  We define diversity in its broadest sense – this includes but is not limited to our diversity of educational and professional backgrounds, experience, cognitive and neurodiversity, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, religion or belief and ethnicity and geographical provenance.  We support a culture that values meritocracy, fairness and transparency and welcomes enquiries from everyone.

If you need assistance or an adjustment due to a disability please let us know as part of your application and we will assist.
