THE OPPORTUNITY

CONTEXT: Our IT department is in constant action, problem-solving, and innovation to enable our teams and customers to work hand-in-hand. In this context, we are looking for an IT Client Ops DBA.

ROLE: Within the Ivalua IT Client Ops team, you will interact with the IT, R&D, Build & Run teams on a daily basis. The Database Administrator position is a unique opportunity to discover and take charge of a wide range of database administration in a stimulating environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US

• Be responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, and operational support of our entire portfolio of over 25,000 databases
• Be in charge of the maintenance and support of all production/QA/development MS SQL servers
• Maintain the reliability, stability, and data integrity of the databases
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
• Provide support in the administration, backup, integrity, and security of various SQL databases
• Be responsible for database-related tasks, from software upgrades to troubleshooting
• Continuously evaluate, improve, and optimize our current database environment
• Provide feedback to development teams on performance issues encountered in production

YOUR PROFILE

Currently pursuing a degree in computer science (Master's or 3rd year of engineering school), you are looking for a 6-month end-of-studies internship. More than your degree level, it is your technical curiosity, your rigor, and your desire to learn that will make the difference.

Skills and Experience:

• Good basic knowledge of computer science
• You are autonomous in SQL querying
• A first approach to MS SQL Server is a plus
• You know how to intervene in troubleshooting contexts regarding tuning and maintenance issues
• You have a professional level of English that allows you to interact orally and in writing with our teams based all over the world.

It is a plus: mastery of one or more of the following skills

• Windows Server WS2019+
• Active Directory Services
• Hyper-V
• Powershell
• Hardware Security Modules (HSM)
• Elasticsearch / Logstash / Kibana
• Networks (TCP/IP, Firewall, VLAN)
• MS Azure

• Your ability to assimilate complex technical issues will be your asset for success in this position.
• You are capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• You are a multitasker and know how to switch contexts effectively between different activities and teams
