Job Description:

Senior Transport / Crowd Modeller

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Transport / Crowd Modeller to join our team! In this role you will get to work on diverse and groundbreaking projects that shape the mobility landscape.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead technical tasks delivery of transport modelling, crowd modelling, and mobility planning assignments.

• Oversee tasks on mobility studies, including master plan mobility strategies, circulation and access studies, TIS, multimodal studies, parking assessments, operational reviews, and developer-led mobility studies.

• Develop, review, calibrate, and validate transport and/or pedestrian models using appropriate modelling software and accepted industry practice.

• Prepare technical reports, presentations, analysis outputs, demand assessments, and modelling summaries for clients, stakeholders, and authorities.

• Implement QA/QC procedures and review work prepared by junior staff, peers, and supporting technical teams.

• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, authorities, teaming partners, sub-consultants, and internal project teams.

• Support proposals by preparing technical approaches, scopes of work, schedules, and related materials.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Planning, Geography, Mathematics, or a related field from a recognized university.

• More 6 years of relevant experience in transport modelling, traffic modelling, crowd modelling and transport planning including model development, demand estimation, calibration, validation, traffic analysis and pedestrian assessment ideally with substantial exposure to projects in Abu Dhabi or the wider UAE region.

• Must be competent in technical reporting, development and delivery of presentations.

• Proficiency in crowd modelling software such as PTV Viswalk, Legion and static modelling techniques.

• Proficiency in at least one transport modelling software and strong knowledge / grasp of at least one more of the following PTV Visum, PTV Vissim, Legion, EMME, Cube.

• Competency in junction analysis software including Sidra and Synchro.

• Experience coordinating with clients, stakeholders, authorities, and internal project teams to support successful project delivery.

• Must be able to attend in person interviews in Abu Dhabi.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Planning, Geography, Mathematics, or a related field.

• Experience working on UAE, KSA, or wider Middle East projects, including knowledge of local TIS and modelling requirements.

• Knowledge of GIS, HCS, VBA, Python, or similar analytical tools.

• Professional certification, professional registration, or membership in relevant technical societies.
