Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an experienced Principal Analyst to provide trusted advisory, programmatic, and operational oversight support to the MDA Targets and Countermeasures Directorate's Intermediate Range program office.

In this role, you serve as an objective advocate and technical advisor to the Government Chief Engineer and Product Directors. You will oversee prime contractor deliverables, provide surveillance of launch vehicle buildup and integration, evaluate mission operational planning, and assess logistics risks across the flight test lifecycle to ensure mission success for Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) test campaigns.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide independent technical assessment and surveillance of prime development/launch contractors during vehicle Assembly, Integration, and Checkout (AI&CO).

• Formulate objective evaluations for the Government on contractor test readiness, critical path schedules, system-level risks, and corrective actions.

• Advise government leadership during Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), Mission Readiness Reviews (MRRs), Flight Readiness Reviews (FRRs), and Mission Failure Review Boards (MFRBs).

• Support program office operations during campaign buildup, wet dress rehearsals, and countdown execution at host test ranges.

• Review, critique, and provide recommendations on prime contractor Mission Operations Plans (MOPs), Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Range Safety submissions, and launch timeline profiles.

• Evaluate contractor compliance against Integrated Master Test Plan (IMTP) flight test requirements, trajectory envelopes, and target presentation parameters.

• Monitor prime contractor logistics operations, tracking transit schedules for hazardous assets (solid rocket motors, payload modules, ordnance) and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).

• Coordinate government-to-government and range authority interfaces, assisting the PMO with range user agreements, site activation requirements, and security clearances.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or related field, or equivalent work experience that meets guidelines established for job (Master's Degree or equivalent, may be preferred at this level)
• 8+ years of related professional experience
• Secret security clearance or higher
• Demonstrable experience in missile flight testing, launch vehicle integration, or range operations (e.g., telemetry, radar tracking, flight safety, countdown procedures).
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills, capable of defending engineering assessments to government program leadership and contractor teams.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor degree with 20+ years of experience; or Masters degree with 12+ years of experience in supporting missile defense or large-scale, complex DoD programs.

• Direct experience supporting MDA programs (e.g., Targets and Countermeasures, GMD, THAAD, Aegis BMD).

• Experience interfacing directly with range operators at PMRF, RTS, WSMR, or VSFB.

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $196,400.00
