About the Role

As Head of Engineering & Projects T3, you will be responsible for comprehensively leading capital projects at the Sanofi manufacturing plant in Pilar, from feasibility to final qualification, ensuring compliance with scope, budget, schedule, regulatory requirements, and GMP standards. You will manage complex projects, define engineering standards, provide technical support to operations, and promote the incorporation of technologies such as Industry 4.0, IoT, and advanced automation.

Additionally, you will lead a team of engineering and external services, driving technical excellence, talent development, and continuous improvement. You will manage the capital budget, key suppliers, and contractors, and act as a technical reference for audits, inspections, and expansion projects, working cross-functionally with Production, Quality, HSE, and Sanofi's global engineering teams. Key :

• Comprehensive capital project management: Lead the full cycle of site capital projects—from feasibility studies and Project Charter to engineering, construction, commissioning, and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ)—ensuring compliance with scope, budget, schedule, and regulatory requirements, as well as managing technical and execution risks.
• Engineering standards and regulatory compliance (GMP/Compliance): Define and maintain site engineering design standards, lead Design Reviews, validate technical documentation (PFD, P&ID, layouts), manage change control and qualification protocols, and ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory standards (EMA, ANMAT, FDA) in all engineering activities, including preparation for audits and inspections.
• Technical support for operations and cross-functional coordination: Provide cross-functional technical support to manufacturing for process troubleshooting and efficiency improvement, acting as a technical reference for audits and inspections, and coordinate closely with Production, Quality, HSE, and Regulatory to align projects with site requirements and global Sanofi standards.
• Technological innovation and digitalization: Lead the adoption of digital and automation technologies (SCADA, PLC) and the implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions (IoT, digital twins), collaborating with Sanofi's global engineering and digitalization teams, evaluating their impact on manufacturing/compliance, and promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Supplier and contractor management: Manage the full lifecycle of contracts with engineering suppliers and contractors: selection, evaluation, qualification, negotiation, performance monitoring, and development of long-term strategic relationships, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and compliance standards.
• Financial and budget management: Develop and manage the engineering area's capital and operating budget, implement cost control tools (earned value management), manage the CAPEX approval process, identify cost optimization opportunities, and report the portfolio's financial status to site management.
• Team leadership and talent development: Lead and develop a engineering team (Project Managers, Engineers, Designers), defining performance objectives, providing feedback, designing training plans, managing key talent succession, and fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration (HSE/GMP).

About You

• Experience: 5+ years in capital projects or industrial engineering, with 3+ years leading teams. Mandatory experience in the pharmaceutical or food and beverage industry (GMP), end-to-end project management, engineering teams, and suppliers.
• Soft Skills: Strategic Thinking, Results Orientation, Leadership and People Management, Influence and Persuasion, Stakeholder Management, Decision Making under Uncertainty.
• Technical Skills: Capital Project Management, Project Management, GMP and Compliance, Qualification and Validation, SCADA and PLC, Cost and CAPEX Management.
• Education: University degree in Engineering—Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering strongly preferred.
• Languages: High level of English (written and oral)—mandatory.
