Job detail for Business and Partnership Manager

The Institute for Sustainability Engagement (ISE) is a leading applied research institute within ECS, uniting faculty and staff across other universities in the Central New York Region, throughout New York State and across the nation. This position provides centralized relationship management with multiple ISE funders as well as stakeholder management for the Institute. This position will work across programs focused on water sector workforce development, leadership training, finance, and policy. This role is intended for a seasoned project manager with both proven success in project management and industry knowledge. The successful candidate will require minimal onboarding and demonstrate an ability to move existing projects closer to completion while integrating people, processes, strategic priorities, and position them for future funding. The candidate will be responsible for engaging staff and faculty across campus in ISE programs to enhance the sustainability engagement work of the university. The position will lead a team of four staff members, including a full-time Associate, part-time employees and student interns from across campus. This is a role reporting to the institute leadership, with the responsibility of growing the applied research institute.
