UW Information Technologyhas an outstanding opportunity forAzure Cloud & Server Support Engineerto join their team.

About this Opportunity

Reporting toa , theAzure Cloud & Server Support  forthe primary operational ownership ofday-to-day service delivery on the Windows Managed Server (WMS) team. This Tier 2 role handles routine and moderately complex infrastructure issues, ensuring that customer-facing managed server , responsive, and reliable. By managing daily service demand, this position enables senior engineers to focus on Azure migration and modernization initiatives — directly supporting the organization's cloud-first strategy and Azure Migration Program (AMP).

The salary information provided below is for a full-time position.

  • 80% Cloud & Server Operations (Tier 2)

  • 10% Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • 5% Service Team Member

  • 5% other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

To be considered for application meet both the minimum qualifications listed below. Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree incomputer science, Technology or a related field or experience

  • Three years of experience as an engineer supporting enterprise Windows server environments.

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including VM management, networking, storage, identitybasics.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve standard infrastructure issues independently.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, technical ;ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical customers.

  • Familiarity with automation tools and infrastructure as code (PowerShell, Terraform. Bicep).

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and applynew technologies, methodologies, tools, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a research university or other academic institution

  • Experience working within ITSM/ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred)

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid, open office environment, 2 days on-site per week.

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$87,624.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum:

$142,392.00 annual
