Examples of Duties

The following duties ARE NOT intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification, only a representative summary of the primary duties and . • Mows grass, trims trees and shrubs, maintains medians and flower beds, and collects litter.
• Operates various equipment, power tools, and hand tools in the performance of job duties; performs preventative and corrective maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Assists with mosquito control, fertilization and weed control, and irrigation installation, maintenance, and repairs as needed.
• Assists Fleet and Facilities departments as needed and assists with special events and installation of Christmas decorations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: No direct supervision exercised.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in general grounds maintenance, litter removal, operating commercial mowers and trimmers, or related field preferred.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

• Indoor and outdoor environments, exposure to environmental hazards and chemicals.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, crouch, lift, push, pull, climb, operate, and carry equipment.
• Work on-call or extended hours.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
