The Opportunity

This role offers hands-on experience in threat detection, incident response, and security operations, providing a strong foundation for growth in the cybersecurity field.

About the Team

Our Security Operations team operates 24/7 across AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions under a follow-the-sun model. You’ll work alongside experienced security professionals dedicated to protecting Nutanix’s digital assets.

Your Role

• Monitor security alerts and escalate incidents as needed.
• Assist in triaging and investigating security events.
• Support senior engineers in incident response activities.
• Maintain and update Security Operations documentation and playbooks.
• Learn and apply threat intelligence to improve detection capabilities.
• Collaborate with global team members to ensure continuous coverage.

What You Will Bring

• 1–2 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity (internship or entry-level roles welcome).
• Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and security principles.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools and log analysis (Splunk experience is a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and willingness to learn in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 Security Operations rotation (including nights/weekends as scheduled).

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
• Knowledge of common attack techniques and frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK).
• Certifications such as Security+, CySA+, or equivalent are a plus.
