The School of Information Studies seeks a Part-Time Instructor to teach IDS302: Idea2Startup

Students establish an actionable plan for the launch of their own business or social venture. Focus on establishing a well-conceived, achievable, and actionable path to market.

After taking this course, students will be able to:

• Understand your entrepreneurial mission, lean startup methodologies, and your minimum viable product.
• Conduct research on your relevant industry and identify your customers, their values, and your unique competitive advantage.
• Conduct research on your relevant market based on your business concept, including the design and testing of your value hypothesis.
• Develop a viable model for your business, or multiple, compatible viable models.
• Create testable business hypotheses and experiments to validate problems, markets, product/market fit, and ability/willingness to pay.
• Analyze the various capital sources available to entrepreneurial start-ups, develop a plan for raising sufficient capital to advance your business, and pitch it.
