As a Chemical Analyst – Microbiology / Immunology-Virology within our Quality team, your work will be key to ensuring the safety and efficacy of the products that reach millions of patients. As a Chemical Analyst, you will be responsible for performing microbiological and/or immunology-virology analyses of raw materials, in-process products, stability tests, validations, and new suppliers, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), as well as the integrity and traceability of the generated data. Key :
Perform microbiological and immunology-virology analyses of raw materials, in-process products, stability samples, validation samples, and critical systems, following established SOPs and pharmacopeial requirements.
Document, report, and ensure the integrity and traceability of all analytical results in compliance with GMP and Good Laboratory Practices.
Monitor and follow up on the calibration and qualification of instruments and equipment within the microbiology and immunology-virology areas to ensure the validity of results.
Manage the inventory of culture media, reagents, and critical supplies (including antigens and antisera), coordinating with internal and external suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of results.
Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), verifying alignment with pharmacopeias, global directives, and site documentation to keep them updated and current.
Identify, evaluate, and control HSE and GxP risks associated with laboratory activities, ensuring compliance with biosafety, biocontainment, and SMS 2.0 standards, while driving continuous improvement proposals.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering and Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and global sites (e.g., Sanofi Val de Reuil, France) to support equipment qualifications, methodology transfers, and compliance with quality systems (CAPA, CCR).
About You
- Experience: Experience in laboratory analysis in the areas of microbiology, immunology, virology, or analytical molecular biology (desirable but not essential for entry-level).
- Knowledge and application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in regulated environments.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology, or quality control laboratories is a plus.
- Handling of laboratory equipment and instruments, including calibration, qualification, and preventive maintenance.
- Experience in technical documentation and quality systems (CAPA, deviations, root cause analysis, data integrity).
- Soft and technical skills: Analytical, Bacteriology, Virology, Biosafety.
- Education: Pharmaceutical Biological Chemist, Bacteriologist Parasitologist Chemist, Biochemical Engineer, Pharmaceutical Biological Chemist/Technologist, Chemical Engineer, or related field.
- Languages: Intermediate English.
