Job Description

General Description – Functions and :

In a customer-centric organization, under the supervision of their manager and for the product range they are responsible for, the Junior Product Manager's missions are structured around the following main activities:

  • Market understanding including competitive intelligence – 15%

  • Customer knowledge – 15%

  • Execution and deployment of marketing campaigns – 50%

  • Project management – 10%

  • Performance and budget tracking – 10%

Main Activities:

Market Understanding:

  • Develops and maintains their level of knowledge and understanding of their market and its trends through training, attendance at congresses, reading scientific publications, recommendations, etc.

  • Identifies research needs with the market research team and conducts market analyses with them.

  • Validates the market research plan with their manager.

Customer Knowledge:

  • Develops an in-depth and continuous knowledge of the different types of customers for their product through proximity to the field (care pathway delegates, regional doctors, leaders, specialists, pharmacists, participation in PR/symposiums, congresses, etc.).

  • Participates in customer segmentation.

  • Identifies customer needs to develop adapted projects.

Execution and Deployment of Marketing Campaigns:

  • Develops and deploys campaigns in line with the strategy and marketing plans in collaboration with the product group and the core team.

  • Develops all materials (promotional and environmental) in line with the strategy and in compliance with the regulatory framework and current internal procedures.

  • Ensures the adoption of campaigns by field teams.

  • Qualitatively analyzes the impact of campaigns through field visits with delegates, during expert committees, etc.

  • Participates in enriching the omnichannel communication strategy for their market, in collaboration with digital and data teams.

  • Ensures the understanding, satisfaction, and proper use of the product by customers through appropriate feedback (field feedback, market research, etc.).

  • Defines, collects, and analyzes performance indicators to measure the impact of their campaigns and services developed using digital and data, if relevant.

  • May participate in the development of marketing plans for the product range they are responsible for.

Project Management:

  • Contributes to defining innovative projects by collaborating with various internal experts.

  • Participates in cross-functional projects directly or indirectly related to their product where marketing expertise is required.

Performance and Budget Tracking:

  • Tracks the performance of their product using available tools (Navboard, market research, etc.).

  • Is involved in sales forecasting for their product.

  • Performs budget tracking for their product, relying on their manager for trade-offs if necessary.

Regulatory Compliance:

Knows the fundamentals of French regulations and internal processes. Ensures that this knowledge is translated into impeccable behavior in the daily conduct of business.

Technical Skills/ELS:

Master's degree (Bac+5) with dual competence (scientific + business school).

  • Initial experience in marketing in the industry and/or experience as a medical representative.

  • Customer orientation and ability to work in a team.

  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral) and interpersonal skills.

  • Leadership: ethics and integrity, courage, creativity, autonomy with real organizational and planning capacity, team spirit, rigor, flexibility.

  • Ability to convince and challenge the status quo.

  • Curiosity, innovative mindset, and initiative.

  • Fluent English.
