As an IT Technician at our new location in Gießen, you will play a key role in establishing and building the IT infrastructure on-site. You will be the first point of contact on-site and will contribute significantly to ensuring that all technical systems function smoothly from the start. This is an exciting and challenging task where you will use your IT expertise to troubleshoot issues and implement innovative solutions.

In this unique position, you will have the opportunity to actively shape IT structures and accompany the development of the location from the beginning. • You will take on diverse, practical IT tasks and provide crucial 1st and 2nd level support for our complex IT landscape, including all possible end devices (Windows, Linux, Android, Apple), as well as in the network and server areas.

WE'D LIKE TO GET TO KNOW YOU IF

• You have completed training in the IT field, for example as a system administrator, network administrator, IT specialist, or IT administrator.

• Ideally, you have some professional experience in system administration, particularly in the infrastructure area. With this knowledge and your strong service orientation, you will troubleshoot issues effectively and ensure our IT service.

• You take full responsibility for your tasks and proactively develop ideas within the team to optimize support procedures, documentation processes, and our knowledge transfer, and to continuously improve IT structures.

• Your good German and English language skills, both written and spoken, facilitate communication within the team and enable competent IT service as well as error-free documentation.

LOCATION

Our European logistics network is growing: we are currently in the preparation phase for the opening of our new location in Gießen (Hesse), which is only one hour away from Frankfurt am Main. The 130,000 square meter state-of-the-art logistics center will be operated by Zalando and is designed for up to 1,700 employees. From this location, starting in summer 2026, customers in Germany and neighboring markets will receive their packages.

Our logistics employees ensure that more than 50 million Zalando customers in more than 25 European markets reliably receive their orders every day. Zalando now operates a Europe-wide logistics network with twelve locations in seven countries. In Germany alone, around 6,000 employees from over 100 nations work at four Zalando logistics locations.
