We have an exciting career opportunity as a Project Manager in GA-ASI’s DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources & Material Shortages) team located in Poway, CA.  As our UAV product platforms continue to grow and age, the impacts due to obsolescence can be significant to our business and customers if not managed properly.

This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating project management activities in support of the Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Integrated Product Team (IPT). The DMSMS Project Manager serves as a liaison between Obsolescence Management, DMS Engineering, and program management teams within GA-ASI on issues such as Last Time Buy (LTB) efforts and inventory management.

DUTIES AND :

  • Track/reconcile Last Time Buy (LTB) activities and corresponding SAP inventory
  • Coordinate with PC, Programs, DMS IPT on LTB parts usage
  • Support program work with inputs on proposal BOM review results for DMS
  • Provide data to senior team members to assist with Non-Recurring Engineering planning, strategy plans,  and project execution
  • Support development of part demand forecasts for last-time-buy execution and run-out analysis.
  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and nine or more years of progressively complex experience in the project administration field with at least three of those years in project management. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Must have a good understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.
  • Must possess:
  • Ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects.
  • The ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of non-routine matters of diverse scope and nature.
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
  • In-depth experience with SAP preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
