Job Description

In this permanent full-time role as Team Leader Pharmaceutical Production – Greenfield Project (m/f/d) at our production site in ****, you will play a decisive role in the setup, structuring, and ramp-up of a new pharmaceutical facility (Green Field).

The new construction project consists of a dual-track multi-product formulation, two filling lines (glass, plastic), and the necessary infrastructure. You will lead a team consisting of production staff and technicians, whom you will help recruit. Furthermore, you will work closely with an international and team and make an important contribution to the successful implementation of one of the largest future projects at our site. During the project, you will have the opportunity to qualify for further, larger leadership roles. Upon completion of the project, we would like you to permanently take on a responsible role in the production organization of the new facility.

Your Tasks & Your Scope of Action

• Team Leadership: You lead a team of production staff and maintenance technicians and develop them in a targeted manner to achieve the greatest possible flexibility in the formulation and filling team.
• Sub-project Management: You lead the "Operational Readiness" sub-project for all production-related topics and ensure a seamless transition from the project phase to the routine production phase.
• Creation of Documents and Concepts: You are responsible for the creation of batch documents, SOPs, manufacturing instructions, and media simulations, as well as their influence on employee qualification.
• Onboarding and Training: You develop a concept for employee training for your team and ensure that all team members are adequately qualified for their tasks from a quality perspective.
• Stable Processes: You help shape the production processes in the new facility and ensure that they are employee-friendly, robust, efficient, and EHS- and GMP-compliant (EU & US GMP).
• Process Control: With the support of internal experts, you establish management systems that help you effectively control processes using key performance indicators (5S, TIER meetings).
• Improvement Culture: You establish a culture of continuous improvement by applying Lean and Six Sigma principles with a focus on the customer.
• Problem Solving: Because problems in production are normal, you guide your team to make problems visible and actively support them in solving problems in a timely manner.
• Plan Fulfillment: You ensure that production activities are reliably completed according to plan.

What You Bring

Education & Qualification:

• Completed relevant degree in natural sciences or engineering such as pharmacy, pharmaceutical biotechnology, process engineering, pharmaceutical technology, or a comparable qualification

Professional Experience & Technical Expertise:

• Several years of professional experience in operational activities in pharmaceutical production, ideally in the aseptic manufacturing of parenterals
• Familiar with pharmaceutical production technologies as well as experience in project management
• Practical experience with isolator technology (VHP) as well as manufacturing execution systems (MES PAS-X)

Leadership & Methodological Competence:

• Talent for leading and developing operational production teams as well as ideally initial experience in functional or disciplinary team leadership
• Good understanding of Lean and Six Sigma principles for process optimization and continuous improvement

Personal Strengths & Languages:

• Strong team spirit as well as effective and target-group-oriented communication
• High level of personal initiative, , and solution-orientation
• Business-fluent German and very good written and spoken English skills
