Position: Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Analyst

Location: Warsaw

Working hours: Full-time

Employment type: Permanent contract (hybrid model – minimum three days per week in the office).

About the role

The purpose of the General Counsel’s Office (GCO) is to "enable safe operation." This means we provide Pinsent Masons with advice and support regarding risk, regulation, and law so that the firm can achieve its commercial, operational, and strategic goals in accordance with applicable regulations and within the limits of its risk appetite.

The position is part of the Regulatory Team within the GCO and supports the achievement of its objectives by helping to ensure the firm's compliance with legal and regulatory obligations regarding AML/KYC, sanctions, and conflict of interest management.

The Regulatory Team operates within a regional structure. The person hired for the Analyst position will focus primarily on their assigned region, but will also provide support and assistance across all jurisdictions where the firm operates as needed.

Key :

• Supporting the client and matter onboarding process.

• Conducting anti-money laundering checks and risk assessments in accordance with applicable regulations and the firm's AML policy.

• Conducting business analysis regarding potential clients and matters using public information, electronic verification tools, and other relevant databases.

• Checking and verifying information provided by teams requesting client or matter acceptance.

• Responding to general inquiries regarding the client and matter onboarding process submitted by teams across the firm.

• Developing in-depth knowledge of the firm's client base and the jurisdictions in which it operates.

• Building effective relationships with regional teams and colleagues across the organization.

• Sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues.

• Active participation in team meetings and supporting continuous improvement of processes and ways of working.

Candidate profile

We expect the person in the Analyst position to provide excellent client service, make a positive contribution to the team's success, and support the development of the firm's business. Demonstrating administrative, IT, organizational, and interpersonal skills will be required. Proactive and flexible management of one's own scope of and timely completion of tasks is essential. Additional requirements include:

• Experience in the compliance area at a law firm or other professional services organization.

• Higher education or equivalent qualifications will be an additional asset.

• Strong analytical and research skills, including the ability to obtain and synthesize information from various sources.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Professionalism and composure, as well as very good organizational and prioritization skills.
