Applications are invited for the post of Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Assistant, within the Student Hub in the School of Health Sciences.

This role forms part of the School Teaching, Learning and Student Experience team and provides support to students across our Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes. This will also include liaising with academic staff, other Professional Services function teams and students.

We are seeking to appoint an individual who is motivated to work within a customer service environment and ideally has some understanding of the academic and pastoral support procedures and processes included with supporting undergraduate and postgraduate study. Acting as a first point of contact for student enquiries and student support and wellbeing related matters, this is a student facing role which requires on-campus presence for the majority of the working week (usually 3 working days, with 2 days from home). Based within our Student Hub, the successful candidate will be supporting students with a range of enquiries both in person, over the phone and via our email inboxes and supporting the administration of a range of activities including (but not limited to): supporting Mitigating Circumstances and Extensions processes, student experience initiatives and events and working on the student hub.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has a strong administrative background in a busy environment, customer service experience and holds excellent communication skills and the ability to work positively and respectfully with a range of students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds. You will need to have a flexible approach to work and the ability to work proficiently with a range of MS 365 applications.

Professional Services staff are part of a single, University-wide team and are expected to work flexibly across organisational boundaries to support local and institutional priorities.
