Job Title: Director of Talent Operations, Strategy & Automation

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Remote

The Role

We’re looking for a Director of Talent Operations, Strategy & Automation to build the systems and operating infrastructure that enable our human-data operations to scale.

You will own the strategy and automation roadmap across Talent Operations, identifying where workflows should be automated, redesigned, or rebuilt. A core part of the role is shaping the Ops Platform, our internal system for managing pipeline creation, talent onboarding, subscriptions, and workflows across AI training deployments.

What You’ll Do

  1. Own the TO automation roadmap, prioritizing the highest-leverage opportunities to automate, redesign, or eliminate operational work.
  2. Redesign workflows for scale, identifying bottlenecks, failure points, and unnecessary manual work.
  3. Shape the Ops Platform, defining requirements, workflows, business logic, and success criteria for TO systems and engineering initiatives.
  4. Translate operations into systems, turning complex operational needs into clear product and engineering requirements.
  5. Work directly with operators to understand workflows, edge cases, pain points, and user needs firsthand.
  6. Drive cross-functional execution with Product, Engineering, Human Data, Recruiting, and Finance from discovery through rollout.
  7. Measure impact across operational capacity, cycle time, manual effort, reliability, and error reduction.
  8. Create visibility into priorities, progress, impact, risks, and dependencies across TO initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

  1. Significant experience in operations strategy, automation, product operations, systems, or business operations.
  2. Track record of turning complex, manual operations into scalable systems and workflows.
  3. Strong product judgment and ability to translate operational problems into technical requirements.
  4. Hands-on experience with process mapping, workflow design, automation, and systems implementation.
  5. Experience partnering with Product and Engineering to build internal platforms or operational tooling.
  6. Strong analytical and communication skills across technical and operational teams.
  7. Ability to operate from strategy through execution in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

Nice to Have

  1. Experience building or scaling internal operations platforms or workflow systems.
  2. Experience applying AI or agentic automation to operational workflows.
  3. Technical fluency with APIs, integrations, automation platforms, and system architecture.
  4. Experience in AI data operations, human-data infrastructure, marketplace operations, or distributed workforce operations.
