Job title: Network Platform Automation and Performance Engineer

Our Team:

Develop, Deploy and Manage Next Generation (NextGEN) Network technology solutions aligning with Sanofi’s vision and growth are the key functions of Sanofi’s Connectivity team. This team, behind Sanofi’s Next Generation Network & Security services and infrastructure that powers it, is looking for a self-motivated and innovative thinking individual to raise the bar on Sanofi’s Network infrastructure while maintaining relevance in the fast moving and evolving network industry.

As a member of the team, you will be driving optimization, scalability, and maintaining the performance of network infrastructure that supports digital platforms. In this role, you will bridge traditional networking and modern platform/DevOps needs, ensuring our distributed applications, cloud services, and internal systems operate with ultra-low latency, high resilience, and maximum efficiency.

You will also act as the technical subject matter expert for network data paths, traffic management, and performance diagnostics by interacting with cross-functional team engineers, architects, internal and vendor partners to evangelize and provide NextGEN network technology solutions to;

  • Maximize the business value from Sanofi’s Digital Technology and Solutions investments.
  • Unleash innovation for our organization, employees, and customers.

Main :

  • Platform Automation Engineering

  • With expertise across routing, switching, WAN, data center, and cloud networking, automation of network provisioning, configuration, validation, compliance, monitoring, and remediation.

  • Design and develop scalable, reusable automation frameworks and services.

  • Automate complex multi-vendor network environments across LAN, WAN, data center, SD-WAN, and cloud.

  • Develop automated workflows for network changes, incident remediation, and lifecycle management.

  • Identify opportunities to eliminate repetitive manual network operations.

  • Develop API-driven workflows and automation services.

  • Establish automation standards, design patterns, coding practices, and reusable modules.

  • Monitor Connectivity platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and automate routine tasks.

  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines, security, and data protection for platform systems.

  • Platform Performance Engineering

  • Develop automated network health and compliance checks.

  • Integrate telemetry, monitoring, logging, and analytics platforms into automation workflows.

  • Build event-driven automation and automated remediation capabilities.

  • Leverage AI/ML and AIOps capabilities to improve network troubleshooting and operational efficiency.

  • Evaluate opportunities for predictive analytics and intelligent network operations.

  • Monitoring and analyzing network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning strategies

  • Drive Automation & Continuous improvement of Network platform solutioning, specification & design, systems integration, platform lifecycle management, standards, and documentation.

  • Drive process improvements that integrate automation and monitor effectiveness to improve efficiency & service delivery.

  • Conduct regular audits, performance tests, generate reports, and track KPIs for network health to manage resource allocation within the network to meet platform demand.

About you:

  • Technical Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with substantial experience in network automation.

  • Strong enterprise networking background with expertise in routing, switching, WAN, SD-WAN, and network security.

  • Advanced Python programming experience.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, REST APIs, Git, JSON, and YAML.

  • Experience developing production-grade automation frameworks.

  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

  • Experience working with multi-vendor network environments.

  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.

  • Networking in cloud computing experience (Azure, AWS, & GCP)

  • Familiarity and understanding of tunnelling protocols (vxLAN, GRE, IPSec)

  • Working knowledge of DNS, Tacacs, Radius, DHCP, NetFlow, Syslog, etc.

  • Exposure to SCADA modelled Network and concepts.

  • Vendor (technical) management experience

  • Occasional work outside business hours
