Job Description
- Execute and analyze accounting reconciliations, ensuring the integrity and reasonableness of accounting balances.
- Monitor provisions, , and accounting records, ensuring their proper recognition and support.
- Actively participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
- Prepare account analyses, variance explanations, and documentation required by the organization.
- Support internal and external audits and reviews by regulatory bodies.
- Follow up on reconciling items and ensure their timely resolution.
- Collaborate with different business areas to ensure the quality and integrity of financial information.
- Provide support to countries within the regional scope regarding accounting issues, closing processes, and incident resolution.
- Participate in automation and continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to optimize processes without compromising financial controls.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, internal procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support payroll and commission processes and their accounting when required as part of the area's operations.
- Follow up on global and regional requirements related to financial information and controls.
Qualifications
- Education: Public Accountant, or student in the final semesters of public accounting.
- Experience: 2 years as an analyst or senior accounting analyst, with specific experience in accounting areas of service organizations.
- Required technical knowledge:
- Knowledge of current IFRS accounting principles and regulations.
- Knowledge of labor legislation and payroll regulations applicable in Colombia.
- Knowledge of accounting closing processes, reconciliations, provisions, account analysis, and financial statements.
- Knowledge of internal controls, financial auditing, and regulatory compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis, and reconciliation). Knowledge of data analysis and accounting process automation tools (desirable).
- Knowledge and experience in financial ERP, preferably Oracle.
- Knowledge of regional financial processes and multi-country accounting information management (desirable).
