Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Controls Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to work on critical water infrastructure project i n Southern Nevada.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Support project controls activities for assigned engineering, procurement, and construction projects under the direction of experienced project controls staff.
• Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of project cost control systems, processes, and reports.
• Coordinate with project teams and affected departments to collect, validate, and maintain accurate cost, schedule, and progress information.
• Perform arithmetic and quality checks of cost reports, forecasts, supporting documentation, and project controls data.
• Assist in monitoring project performance and identifying cost, schedule, or progress variances for review by senior project controls personnel.
• Maintain organized and accurate project controls records and supporting documentation in accordance with established procedures.
• Support subcontractor procurement and cost input
• Gain broader project controls experience through assignments or rotations involving Cost Engineering, Planning/Scheduling, and Estimating, while performing other appropriate to the position.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 10+ years of related work experience
• Basic understanding of project controls, cost management, estimating, planning, scheduling, or construction management principles.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review numerical information and perform accurate cost and schedule calculations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other standard Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to organize, maintain, and analyze project data and supporting documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality control.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate information across multiple project disciplines.
• Ability to prepare clear and professional reports, graphs, charts, and project controls exhibits.
• Ability to prioritize assignments, meet established deadlines, and work effectively in a team-oriented project environment.
• Willingness and ability to learn company and client project controls policies, procedures, systems, and reporting requirements.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Previous internship or professional experience supporting engineering, construction, infrastructure, or capital improvement projects.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data analysis.
• Understanding of project budgets, commitments, actual costs, forecasts, and cost variances.
• Ability to identify trends or inconsistencies in project data and communicate findings to senior project controls personnel.

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
