About the site

The Marcy-l’Étoile site, near Lyon, is one of the world's largest research, development, and vaccine production sites. It is also the most important R&D center for our Vaccines entity and a hub of excellence for new vaccine projects, as well as a cutting-edge biological and industrial platform, globally recognized for its expertise in vaccine production.

The site produces vaccines that protect against numerous diseases and immunize millions of patients each year: bacterial diseases (diphtheria, typhoid fever, Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib) infections, tetanus, pertussis) and viral diseases (hepatitis A, polio, rabies). With over 100 years of experience in public health, the site possesses expertise in pediatric combinations and serves more than 150 countries worldwide.

About the role

Do you want to put your technical expertise at the service of global health? Our Marcy l'Etoile site is looking for a passionate Production Technician to join a team dedicated to the manufacturing of the rabies vaccine, in an innovative and inclusive work environment.

Our mission Within building V1, you will join the viral/Concentration/inactivation sector, a dynamic team dedicated to the production of an essential vaccine that protects thousands of people worldwide. Your rigor and technical expertise will be key to ensuring the excellence of our production.

Your missions As an essential player at the heart of our manufacturing process, you will:

• The mission described above must be carried out in compliance with the site's hygiene, safety, and environmental rules.

• • Cell and viral culture on static support (Roux flask) under laminar flow near class B, during seed lot distribution...

• Concentration by ultrafiltration

• Inactivation

• Complete batch records, logs, and other documentation tasks (creation of blank forms, reconciliation, and archiving...)

• • Participate in environmental monitoring sampling, temperature and pressure readings, and cleaning monitoring (MASTER)
• • Monitor and maintain the equipment used to ensure reliable equipment availability by performing routine control and monitoring operations (calibration, adjustment, maintenance)
• • Participate in cleaning and maintenance operations in the area
• • Participate in production and HSE investigations
• • Be proactive in your training via ilearn.

• Analyze technical issues, propose solutions, and actively participate in quality investigations following non-conformities

• Perform inter-campaign operations (area clearing, premises decontamination)

• Actively participate in the performance of the production area by being proactive and communicating via tools such as +QDCI

About you

• Education: Bac +2 (Associate degree level) in biology or equivalent experience
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience desired in pharmaceutical production or a control laboratory
• Technical skills: Knowledge and compliance with GMP, HSES rules, use of SCC and MES
• Soft skills: Organization, Adaptability, Autonomy, Rigor, Team spirit, Versatility

Day shift organization:

• Variable hours scheduled between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and occasionally (inactivation) between 6:00 AM and 9:00 PM
• During building V1 shutdowns, you may be required to work in a team shift pattern
