For the IPT Blister department, we are looking for a: Manager Operations
Welcome to our team
We have three production departments in Haarlem, and for each department—Vaccines, Blister, and Specialties—there are packaging lines that are highly diverse in terms of operation and technology. These are used to package all components and medicines, including patient information leaflets, into the final product that everyone knows from the pharmacy. Together with your fellow managers, you are responsible for 10 to 12 packaging lines with a total of approximately 35 Operators.
The role
As Manager Operations, you are responsible for our daily production; this is a shop-floor-oriented role. You focus on daily objectives regarding safety, quality, people management, and optimal planning. An important aspect is that you, together with your team, ensure that the required output is achieved. You also ensure that your team is trained to operate the lines, perform changeovers, and execute the TIER process.
The Manager Operations reports to the Associate Director Operations. Production takes place in a 3-shift system.
**Tasks and **
- You lead approximately 10-12 Operators and make an active contribution to their further personal development.
- You initiate and manage improvement projects in the areas of technology, quality, and safety based on MPS methodologies.
- You ensure that quality procedures and guidelines according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) are followed and that your team members always work safely.
- You collaborate with specialists in the fields of improvement, engineering, quality, and EHS.
- You are responsible for achieving production and cost objectives without compromising the safety and quality of the product.
Your profile
- A completed Bachelor (BSc) or Master (MSc) degree in a technical, business, life sciences, or related field, OR
- Several years of work experience as a people manager and the ability to coach a team toward increasing independence.
- A discussion partner for all levels, capable of setting priorities well and making the right trade-offs under time pressure.
- Demonstrable technical affinity and good project management skills.
- Good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written.
