What you'll be doing: Collaborating with Technology Operations, Solution Architects, and Project teams to build AWS infrastructure. Assessing and delivering complex changes for various projects. Providing mentorship and support to team members for their technical development. Performing operational activities such as incident resolution and maintenance. Recommending and delivering efficient solutions. Maintaining the cybersecurity stance of our IT infrastructure. Identifying and implementing areas for automation. Acting as a consultant for complex problems and issues. Keeping up-to-date with AWS tools and recommending improvements. About you: You will be a technically capable AWS Cloud Engineer who thrives in complex enterprise environments. You bring a strong foundation in cloud infrastructure, automation, and operational support, coupled with a genuine passion for continuous improvement and professional development. With a proven track record of delivering and supporting AWS-based solutions, you are comfortable working across a broad range of technologies and are equally adept at managing day-to-day operational as you are contributing to strategic cloud initiatives. You will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling you to diagnose complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective long-term solutions. Essential Criteria: Proven hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting AWS cloud environments. AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (minimum), with Professional-level certifications considered advantageous. Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ideally using Terraform. Experience supporting both Windows and Linux workloads in AWS environments. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across cloud, infrastructure, and platform technologies. Experience working within large enterprise environments, including exposure to networking, firewalls, Active Directory, and hybrid-cloud architectures. Knowledge of AWS security and governance services, including IAM, AWS Config, KMS, and SecOps best practices. Understanding of High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and operational resilience within AWS. Experience contributing to cloud migration, infrastructure modernisation, or data centre transformation initiatives. A proactive, ownership-driven approach with the ability to see issues through to resolution. Desirable Criteria: Wealth Management or Financial services experience
